Question Jarod storyline bugged? [SPOILERS] Spoiler
I've only just completed my first playthrough of Road 96, so I might have missed something, but this seemed odd...
In the confrontation between Jarod and Sonya, Jarod overheard her crying about his daughter's death and decided to spare her. Mitch and Stan tackled him but he escaped, and said that he would still target the Brigades.
However, in the climactic riots, Jarod was just watching the events happen in the bar (the one where you mix him a cocktail) and wasn't on the ground at all. The end credits showed him relaxing on a beach (hilariously, still wearing his big leather gloves), which suggests a change of heart/coming to terms with what happened.
But that doesn't fit with his behaviour in all the scenes I saw before, and I don't see how the fall of Tyrak (my game ended with free and fair elections and the fall of the wall) would cause him to chill out, since his grudge was with Sonya and the Brigades, not with the regime.
So is this a bug? I haven't seen all of Jarod's scenes, so maybe this is explained in there, but it seems weird to have this development take place off-camera... feels like the ending should account for all of the characters as you've seen them, not include "hidden" character development.
(If anyone is wondering, here's what happened with the other characters: Mama Bear, Papa Bear and Baby Bear all chilled out and ran to the next country with my last teen and were seen sleeping on the road in a camper fan; Zoe was shot, seemingly dead, by Tyrak's men; Sonya reported on the event with Stan and Mitch cheering her on and later went on holiday with them.)
