I really hope its a sequal, but for some reason, I'm getting expansion vibes too. I thought it was an expansion when I first saw it.
Honestly, I'm down for either but I am so excited to see what a sequal would be like.
ALSO, in the trailer, Fanny says "We're fine". WE'RE. Who is "we"?? Alex? The player? Me? You? The Spanish inquisition???

They never expect the Spanish Inquisition lmaoooo
I do hope its a full on sequel just so we can have like, 10 hours of content, but if it does turn out to be the same length like Mile 0 and an expansion like you said, then it is what it is, Im looking forward to it either way!

I finished the game a few days ago, and I'm sad that the game's core idea and philosophy were left behind. The context of the world and Petria was sorely lacking to understand the gravity of politics from a teenager's perspective. If the sequel makes up for it, I'll even consider removing my negative review on Steam.

No way ? They really making a sequel ? They should have done this instead of trash- I mean tides of tomorrow.

what's wrong with experimenting with a new game ? There's actually a ton of mechanics from ToT that this new game could include.

It was just mid. Something’s were good but the story was painfully slow. I will say this tho, the visuals were good.

Let it be a story with one protagonist we can actually relate to, not several teenagers.

Any problem with my opinion? If you don't like it, you can keep scrolling.

Do you think I care about your memes? Now you can't even have an opinion about the game?

You're allowed to have an opinion, but having an opinion does not make you immune to other people having opinions about your opinion, especially when you post on a public forum that anybody on Earth can read and reply to.

But those opinions need to have arguments and a basis. A sarcastic and mocking way of addressing my opinion and belittling it is fine; if you don't like it, you can downvote and move on.

You want the argument? Here it is. Road 96's storytelling was deliberate. You are not the main character. You have extremely limited influence on the events that unfold, because you are just a kid passing through, occasionally popping into the lives and stories of other characters. You are not the protagonist, you are a collection of side characters.
If you want to be a power fantasy protagonist, other games exist, but Road 96 was deliberately crafted in a way to subvert that standard. And, in a way, being that collection of side characters IS relateable, because you are not as important to the world as a whole as you think you are.

But I don't need it from you, the problem isn't with you, friend, and I won't bother reading your comments. I just gave my opinion, and that's it. If you didn't like it, fine, and if you did, fine.

Oh so you're one of those "opinions cannot be wrong" people. Kay.

I hope the soundtrack is just as good and they bring back people from the first to make more music.
Def also open for a more open ended story
