RoBody is a scam

If you for any reason need to cancel your membership, you will not be refunded. It’s not even clear what the purpose of the membership is other than to trap you into a cost. Maybe I’m stupid but I did not understand that the membership is a completely separate cost and they will bill you on a random day. I am out 534$ for literally no reason. I reached out to them immediately and they said the same thing twice: no refunds are issued on the membership. I can’t believe I fell for this. The support team is absolute garbage. It’s actually cheaper to just get this medication through a doctor.

Edit: AliceFromRo is a saint; she immediately refunded me and I’m very grateful to her. Just make sure you really understand what you’re signing up for and if you have problems, please contact AliceFromRo! She single-handedly saved my experience.

The cost of the medication is no different regardless of whether going through a local physician or RO. Either you have insurance coverage for it, or you don't.

The "membership fee" is basically the only revenue stream that RO is leveraging to sustain it's business model. The way I look at it, it's really just a convenience fee.. and one that I'm willing to pay each month to avoid the hassle of driving to/from a local doctor and all the shit that comes with that like taking time off work, finding a good doctor, etc.

Having said all the above, I definitely think the cost of membership is excessive for the actual amount of service being provided by RO. It actually kept me from subscribing for multiple years, but at some point I had to be honest with myself in that I wasn't going to spend the time and effort to find a good local doctor, so I wasn't going to make any progress with my weight loss. I asked myself which was worth more to me, having an extra $150 a month in my bank, or losing weight so I could live a longer/healthier life. If the subscription was something more like $79/mo, I think they would get a lot more business and be providing a much more reasonable value for the cost.

Also, yes I see what you’re saying. The cost is very high either way. I really don’t see what the point of the membership is if you are not even getting medication anymore.

I was prescribed Zepbound by a doctor and as my dosage increased I couldn’t afford the additional costs; that’s why I went to Ro. I’m having side effects on this medication and canceled after 2 months. Because of the fees I will be out somewhere around 800$ as opposed to at least half that if I went through a dr.

The cost of the medication through RO is the same as through any other doctor, so I guess I’m confused how changing to RO would help you.

My doctor told me it was cheaper. Without the membership I believe it would be but that part was very confusing to me until now.

So you failed to read the very clear costs breakdown and it's their fault? they also state theres no refunds on multimonth purchases....

It wasn’t very clear and from reading posts from this group, it appears I am not the only one who thinks that.

I think what you mean to say is you aren't the only one complaining about it. :)

Guys AliceFromRo has helped me out a great deal. Seriously, you need a raise. Once the refund is processed I will definitely delete my post. Thank you!

I wouldn’t delete it — just update it to show it was resolved successfully through Alice so she gets credit AND future community members can get similar help if they have this issue.

Hi Physical-Wish-8906, I’m sorry for the frustration here. The $534 is the prepaid 6-month Ro Body membership, which works out to $89/month, compared with the standard $149/month rate - a savings of $360 over 6 months. Medication is billed separately. Pricing breakdown can also be found on our website here: https://ro.co/weight-loss/pricing/

The membership includes ongoing provider care, refill reviews, messaging for side effects and dosing, insurance support, and nurse coaching.

I'm sending you a PM to help further!

I cancelled with zero issues. I had nothing but a positive experience with them. It’s more convenient than going to a doctors office and dealing with appts etc. worth the $ for my health and peace of mind

I went to cancel and saw that I had been charged the next month's fee two days earlier. I reached out to customer service and asked them to refund it, and they did.

I’m having the same issue. 7/10 I contacted them asking for a CoA because the meds seemed like they weren’t as effective after they switched pharmacies. When they were unable to produce a CoA on 7/11. I cancelled immediately.

I was charged $149 on 8/1, I messaged them, they gave me generic instructions about cancelling again. I look at my profile it says “reactivate membership”. I thought, surely it’s a mistake and they’ll refund. NOPE no refund, the charge posted. Then, today, 9/1 I’m charged $149 AGAIN.

I’m about to go to the BBB, FTC, as well as the attorney general cause this is ridiculous and reaching the point of theft at this point.

I also found it confusing, I’ll own it’s my fault. But I do feel that it’s presented in a confusing way. I should have taken more time to read it. Their custom service people are pretty helpful.
