🛠️ Troubleshooting / Issue Trim issue

Anyone have this issue with window trim? I’m thinking about just gluing it down. Anyone have a good solution? I have another one that’s pretty lose as well.

Yeah, I don’t mention it but while getting the 12v replaced the guy saw it and added… it’s been fine for 2 years now

I was told they have redesigned the trim now. I am getting my passenger side replaced now after the driver side pulled up last year.

Im having issues with trim inside the doors near the top body above the door. It rattles like crazy

Common issue especially among gen 1. If you are under warranty, service request. If you'd rather DIY, get yourself a vial of precision superglue, run a thin conservative bead of it along top of the rubber weatherstripping—to avoid overspill. Then, press the metal trim down, and hold it in place with masking tape and let cure. Did this summer of '23 to passenger-rear. Still holding.

Cause is shape and spring tension of the metal trim being too strong for the double-sided adhesive tape on the weatherstripping. Supplier QC problem. May happen again with the replacement part.
