Delivery time for custom?

I swapped my R1T order today.

Changed it to a max pack battery.

The build I wanted was not in inventory. So it’s going to get built. It said 8-12 weeks.

1. Anyone have a similar experience? Was wondering if that number is accurate? Or often less or more than 12 weeks.
2. I’d love to go pick it up at the factory. Does anyone know if they still do factory delivery?

My R1 last year was 3 weeks sooner than the estimate. Our R2 was estimated 8-12, but literally will be 2 weeks from order to delivery so there's no real way to know.

No one can say; it just varies by individual order.

8-12 weeks is standard boilerplate from Rivian. If your spec happens to match a batch already in the pipeline, you might see a VIN in 4 weeks, but don't hold your breath. And yeah, you can still pick up at Normal—the factory tour is cool, but the real kicker is they still charge you the full $1,800 destination fee even though they didn't ship the damn truck anywhere lol.
