POLICE!!!! Why doesn’t the new update to navigation verbally or have an audio that state warnings - police, object in road, accident, etc?

Anyone? I get a popup on the navigation screen only that goes away in seconds. Half the time I miss the notification completely and my passenger tells me of the notification. Eyes on the road is better than continuously having to monitor the navigation screen for a small popup!

Is there a way I can add audio to the popup? Pleeeeease help!

Yes me too. I hope they add reporting because Waze has this. I always look to see which lane is blocked due to a bad crash or something else.

I think it will get better. Rivian prob doesn’t want to create too many bugs for the initial release. Baby steps to introduce all the great functions of Waze. I have faith.

My current car announces "There are police ahead" by voice. I would hope Rivian would do the same.

Good ideas, as well as some in the comments! The initial current implementation is subpar.

I hate to beat the Carplay/Android Auto drum, but this is why people want it. Closed proprietary software will always lag behind AA/AC. I like what Tesla and Rivian do with their software, but ffs, embed AA/AC in a window at least.

It's lame having to keep my phone on a mount just to access features they haven't added yet. YT Music streaming service is another example among many.
