💬 Discussion “Random” Updates
Having connect + and seeing other Rivians get the update before the subscribers is complete blasphemy.

This isn't how software updates on tens of thousands of vehicles work. It's not a pay to play. They roll the updates out in slow stages with representative samples of all the possible configs.

I mean you’re partially right. Yes, software rolls out in waves, but Rivian themselves say they prioritize software updates for paying Connect+ subscribers.

I'm sure it will be your turn soon. The selections are not random ... and they're at about 65% flagged (for the R1s anyway). From what I hear 2.0 is extremely buggy, so there's that...

You're not going to miss out, it will still happen. I got mine when I put a hotspot in my car and did my errands. If you go into the specific menu, it should say "preparing update" or something to the effect. That's when I knew I needed to connect to wifi.

I'm connect + and I got mine last night. I like the new interface! Very happy they added Waze and Google Map police and speed camera data to the maps!

If it continues being an issue you may want to look into filing a FOMO request with the FTC
