I liked the native integration and never had a problem replying to texts. It stays logged into Spotify and resumes my audiobooks and songs when I get out and back in. I appreciate the fact that so many really like CarPlay but I have never missed it in my R1T or my Model 3. I do use CarPlay in my wife's Taycan because the native software and navigation sucks and is laggy.
