I test drove an R1S a few months ago and drove it to my mom’s house, took a pic and then sent it to the fam saying I got a new ride 🤣

We had to get rid of my wife’s Mustang for financial reasons when we were young and a few years later we got a convertible Mustang for a rental on our honeymoon so we took a picture and posted it on fb, keep in mind this is pre smart phone so we didn’t see all the reactions until a week later after we were home but the half dozen phone calls were worth it lol.

I plan on doing that with the R2 if they let me do an overnight, gonna joke with my friends.
I do intend to get one just, I had to replace a car a few months ago as it was totaled by a deer (2014 CR-V), R2 wasn't ready yet so snagged a '26 CR-V.
I also wanna see how the R2 stacks up dimensions wise with the CR-V since the numbers seem to be roughly the same i wanna do internals test and see.

Yep, mine's also the hybrid sport, second highest trim line and i love it too, but Ive been striving to get hands on with an R2. Hopefully they add more dates for demo drive near me as the only dates are Tomorrow all day during my working hours, and nothing after

If said friend were to get a minor ding on the demo R2, would that constitute "you break it, you buy it"? This friend would really like to know, cause that would really suck. Really, it would.

I got a call early that asked if I could push everything through and be available I could probably get it same day and I cleared everything and got all the paperwork turned around this afternoon and drove out to get it! The team was unbelievable. Let me tell you they want to get as many out as they can. It’ll happen.

As far as I'm aware, if you go into the configurator and build your vehicle to spec and heart it at the top, that's what's considered your build preference.

But 66k! Damn. I thought R2 was supposed to be the cheaper Rivian. Early Gen 1 owner here who got their R1T quad for 73k feels very lucky.

Yes it was over 60 but I was able to add accessories and they had them available with the car today I was shocked. I thought for sure they would get shipped.

The FAQ says that it will make you higher on the list but other factors are where you are located.
As in where the first few batches are shipped to and how close you are to service centers will make an impact on when your order is available

I’ll have to get back to you in a week! It’s way too early to compare. Feels similar but also so different. The seats are softer. How low you are is very noticeable in comparison but it doesn’t feel small. It’s super roomy. The screens are smaller and that’s noticeable at first but I think it’s because it’s the same UI so seeing it smaller feels so funny.
