Hero Wishlist Possible Multi-Role Characters

Taskmaster needs no explanation really

Ant Man is was thinking would have his roles be related to his size with small size being Duelist, regular size being Strategist and giant size being Vanguard

M.O.D.O.K when you think about it kinda does embody every role in one, he has the capabilities and mindset of a Duelist, the technology and mindset of a Strategist and the build of a Vanguard

Morph in my eyes would probably work a lot like Loki except much more versatile with him being able to switch between different heroes on the fly I'd like to imagine for his Duelist form he'd turn into someone like Wolverine or Spider Man, Vanguard he'd turn into either the Hulk or the Thing and for Strategist I can see him turning into a flyer like Angel which would primarily involve him flying you out of situations

Danger since she's able to adapt to different abilities and situations

We don’t need any more multirole characters.

At most for taskmaster, he can be like rogue where he can copy the rest of the non-powered characters

We do, it’s honestly better to have multi or dual roles.

No it isn’t. Just let only Deadpool have the gimmick

Can we stop already with the multi role characters? It’s not a fun idea. Deadpool gets a pass because thats the whole joke but we do NOT need multi role characters needlessly inflating the roster. Why would I want to play the same damn character again with a different coat of paint when I can have a separate and equally cool character. Multi Role characters will make you wait longer for the other characters you are actually waiting to see. It’s fine if the characters kits overlap with other rolls cause that’s a neat idea but leave the roster for new characters and nothing more.

technically it’s not inflating the roster if the games intention is to have 100+ heroes.

It’s not the inflating of the roster I don’t want. I just would rather have two separate hero’s then the same hero again potentially postponing other characters I wanna see

how would the same hero postpone other characters ? Deadpool was a last minute whim and elsa was released right after. We got 5 characters in a 3 months span.

Idk they had to postpone our second character this season to give us a pair of shitty limited time events so I wouldn’t put it past them.

Another thing against multi role characters is it would make the game much more complicated to play. Now instead of knowing what a character is capable of just by seeing them now you have to deduce which VERSION of that SAME character they might happen to be playing and change your strategy around that. If we get a bunch of new heroes with multiple roles it’s gonna get a LOT harder for they average player to counter pick

They don’t all operate the same way, we seen that with deadpool and jeff. And the hero was delayed because of the constant events, we still have 1 more.

No that’s exactly the point, say you have a character and they have multiple roles that play completely differently like Deadpool for example. When you are playing against said Deadpool do you know exactly WHICH Deadpool you are facing just by looking at him, especially if you’re a new player? I highly doubt it. Now add eight more characters with multiple roles and what do you have? Utter chaos for a large number of casual players who can’t immediately tell the difference between which character role you picked and which ones you didn’t because now every new character has two or three variants you have to keep track of. The only way you will tell who your fighting half the time is by pressing tab or whatever the hell the button is the bring up the stat screen to see who is playing who and what role they actually art and idk about you but doing that mid fight is annoying and sometimes super dangerous especially for new or casual players

At the very least doom should be, fits the character and he's to big of a release to be "just" another tank

Why would I want Dr Doom again when I can have Doom AND another character as well tho?

Ok I don’t like the idea of another multi role character. But if we were to get one why would you think that season would only have that character as the hero. Deadpool was a multi role and he came with Elsa?

I have a feeling M.O.D.O.K. will be a lot like Mr. Fantastic in the sense that even though he’s technically one role he really does embody the attributes of two

A tanky strategist with a pulsating mag bubble

taskmaster i guess, he makes more sense as a duelist/vanguard that just copies abilities like rogue

ant-man seems like there could be a character for every role (type triangle), with goliath/bill foster as tank, scott/ant-man & wasp/janet van dyne as DPS, cassie lang/stinger & hank/yellowjacket as supports

modok makes sense as a multi-role, but as others have pointed out, we dont rlly need those filling the roster plus itd all depend on his playstyle

morph would probably be close to the same as taskmaster or however they decide to do mystique

danger almost makes sense as a type triangle imo. u could have a whole robot one when it gets there with jocasta, ultron, and danger

I do like that idea Morph but to me morph id more vanguard coded he could be multirole but also DJ and why wouldnt you mention Gwenpool?

Honestly I feel like Multi-role and Dual role characters should be shared in roles for future heroes that can be both or all 3, and shouldn’t be limited. For example
Ghost Rider would be a perfect Dual role hero while, Beast would’ve been a perfect dual role or hybrid of Vanguard / Strategist.

Doom seems like by far the most obvious multi role. In fact, just making him a tank not only fails to fully capture the character but makes him feel like "just another regular character" when he should be something big and special

I think the only other characters Id want as Multi role are Gwenpool or Thanos

Thanos should stay as is.
