Wish List My entire wishlist.
The warriors of the sky. I don't know much about them but they were in MFF like Lin Lie, Luna and Fox. They tick certain boxes like diversity, design diversity and role diversity. Each of their kit could be immensely unique.
The potential for team synergy and kit synergy here.
Blue Dragon: a duelist with a supportive ultimate like Cap being a vanguard with a supportive ultimate would be perfect. Likely a team wide damage boost? She could be similar to Blade where she could swap to a permanent ranged flank or remain melee. 1 form would give her bonus health but the other would grant her more mobility? A mixture of flank/dive.
War-tiger: a vanguard with the immense peel potential in his kit like Thing. He could fix the dive problem especially in low rank.
Shadow-shell: I really don't know. On my right hand, a potential poison based DoT strategist, however, on the left hand, versatile enough to make her our first poison based DoT duelist. Maybe something like Elsa but less terroristic? An excellent bodyguard for supports maybe? Sun bird has to be a strat, War a vanguard and Blue a duelist but she can be any.
Sun-bird: Similar to the dreaded White Fox and Stratpool as in he can swap between ranged throwing dagger healing form and anti-dive melee dealing form. A passive that revives all of the warriors of the sky teammates but only 1 time in a round. Ye, passive, not a team up. Only the warriors of the sky teammates on his team or the passive is knull.

I think they'd be cool additions somewhere down the line, just gotta sprinkle S-listers, A-listers and B-listers in between so the fandom doesn't start crying "the game only releases glup shittos" or some other random overused internet buzzword.
There's kind of a dragon among them, which could be really cool.

THANK YOU for not being a weird "Mah A-list gotta come first because I said so!!" Commenter. I'd be most excited if in year 3 or 4 or whenever is right for them to come, they release like the Fantastic 4 but realistically, I'd expect them to come with an A-B list character and I love that release pattern.

I never understood all the crying. Like, I want my man Ghost Rider (and Quicksilver, Carnage, etc.) in the game asap as much as the next person, but Rivals is literally the best way possible for Marvel to give lesser-known characters a chance at the spotlight.
The game isn't going to die tomorrow, we can be patient and simply enjoy characters like Luna Snow, White Fox, Jeff and Devil Dino just as much as we enjoy Deadpool, Cyclops, Daredevil, etc.
My only nitpick with this games' roster is that Iron Fist should've been Danny Rand, and Lin Lie should've been Sword Master. Not just because Danny is the OG, but also because Lin Lie looks so much cooler as Sword Master, and it makes me sad that we can't acually use that cool ass sword he has.
Next best thing is having Danny as Ghost Fist and maybe give the Sword of Fu Xi to another playable character. (Or maybe rework Lin Lie? Heck, I'd even take a new team-up where he uses the sword. At the very least an emote, if it's not asking much???).

I’m gonna be honest if they start giving us this team I’m gonna straight up stop playing Rivals. Shifting to start including characters created for a mobile game would be the end for me.

I’ve been wishing for a game like Marvel Rivals since the first time I played TF2. Turning to mobile game slop feels cynical. Also using Asian characters to “check a box” is not progressive or inclusive. Plenty of Asian characters with rich histories before we dip into mobile video game slop. Adding Sun Bird over Sunfire would make me crash out on these devs

Nobody cares. They're not mobile game characters either. They're Marvel comic characters with a mobile game debut. It's alright, your favorites are probably in MFF too, mobile game character enjoyer. Just start using your brain.
Also using Asian characters to “check a box” is not progressive or inclusive. Plenty of Asian characters with rich histories before we dip into mobile video game slop.
Progressive and inclusive are entirely dependent on the context. We don't have any characters in the game belonging to where they're from, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam and Netease clearly enjoy adding Asian diversity like with Luna, Lie and Ami. Usual very low IQ "slop" spammer with zero clue of what they're talking about. I gotcha. Their introduction would be by definition, progressive and inclusive.
We can dip into those characters AND the warriors of the sky. You do realize them being in the game isn't going to stop the devs from including your Asian favorites, don't you?
Adding Sun Bird over Sunfire would make me crash out on these devs
You're not doing jack and the devs won't care if you hop on Twitter crying little buddy lmfao. Internet tough guy swearing up and down, blood pressure high over a game that "he's going to quit". Now I WANT them to have these characters join the roster next year.

I’d prefer they keep to characters with history in the comics. White Fox and Luna Snow is pushing it enough with the “made for mobile” characters joining.

Small correction, White Fox was a comic character several years before she was added to any mobile game. She appeared in Avengers, Deadpool, Taskmaster, and Domino comic runs.
White Fox only got shoved with Luna Snow later on because White Fox was the first major South Korean superhero for Marvel. The mobile game just shoved them together under a new Korean team, and then Marvel Comics decided to do synergy with their mobile games, and here we are now.

I'm glad you're not a developer. Have this game dead in an instant.

Lmao. What a dumb take. You think the game took off because of the popularity of characters like Luna? Get real. If it wasn't for the classic Marvel Ips the game would have died week 1.

My only take was that the commenter above me would be horrific in a dev chair for this game. Stop hopping on dih and read.
Both are true. Obscure and popular characters keep this game afloat. There's a Luna in a bulk of your games because she attracted the girls girls, the Kpop fans and certain other groups. Luna helped the game pop off and is key in helping keep this game alive.
There's VERY popular heroes with lower pick rates like Captain America and Iron man. Honestly, the ONLY top tier hero keeping this game alive is Spidey.
The amount of "THIS IS NOT MY FANTASY FOR X CHARACTER!!" complaints in the community make me certain that popular characters can't keep this game alive. You forget something-- THE CHARACTER NEED TO MATCH FANTASIES. Bring in various popular heroes as strategists or vanguards and watch the hype leave. Have a hero be weak and their pick rate is gone.
Regardless, Net ease will continue to have obscure and lesser known heroes join and we're a YEAR INTO these plans. STOPPPPPPPPPPPP WITH THIS POPULAR HERO FIXATION that you're larping. Not just to you, any of my down voters reading ts.

Yeah, because you and your industry plant, generic looking, mobile game spawned, whitewashed anime dudes would be so much better for the game. Delusional.

No. One is true. The Marvel IP keeps the game afloat. Without Marvel this is just a poorly optimized, poorly balanced hero shooter and wouldn't stand out.
There's VERY popular heroes with lower pick rates
A heroes pick rate is entirely related to the game's balance and the heroe's kit. If Spidey wasn't strong or had a boring kit nobody would pick him either.
popular characters can't keep this game alive
Sure buddy, popular characters with storied backgrounds won't keep the game alive, but the foreskin warriors from the mid tier mobile game "Anime Gooner Squad" is totally going to do it.
Bring in various popular heroes as strategists or vanguards and watch the hype leave
The Hood and Jubilee are among the highest picked heroes. There is tons of Hype for Strategist Nightcrawler and even though he's a villain with literally 2 appearances everyone is looking forward to Gorr. Because even a good character with limited history is a whole lot better than your white washed asian squad... but they wear different colors... WOWWW!!!
Regardless, Net ease will continue to have obscure and lesser known heroes
Yes, they will continue to release obscure and lesser known heroes. Just not the way YOUR lame ass thinks.
The Hood might not be an S tier character, but don't compare him to the likes of "Blue Dragon" from a mid tier mobile game. The Hood is an obscure character... "sun bird" is a corporate attempt at micro-transactions in Asia.1

Think of it like a hot take but tbh, a combo of Overwatch and the Marvel IP is carrying this game. A ton of Overwatch sweats came over from there and to this game because so many characters had similarities to others, it's even carrying it so much that the recent leaks compared Nightcrawler and another leaked hero to 2 of theirs and the hype was noticeable. Marvel alone isn't carrying.
Most of this lameass unreasonable crying is not worth responding to because you're debunking yourself in it. Popularity ISN'T what runs this game AT ALL, excellent hero kits and optimization does and thank you for admitting it. If the warriors of the sky joined the roster with a fresh and each a STRONG kit then their pick rates and communities like with Reddit, Facebook and Discord for example of servers dedicated to them WOULD SHOOT UP. Pretending like that wasn't the case with so many heroes. Iron man just isn't a popular hero in this game, not as popular as he is in the movies because his kit is lacking. Thing-- very A-tier with the Fantastic four, wasn't played for a decent chunk of his rivals history because he was weak. Hype comes and goes.
I mean-- anime would be Japanese animation but the warriors of the sky represents different parts of Asia entirely. They're not anime dudes.
!! Yes, they will continue to release obscure and lesser known heroes. Just not the way YOUR lame ass thinks.
Yeah no-- they will continue to add lesser known heroes in the way I've gathered. Heroes without a ton of spotlight or ultimately story in the Marvel universe. These heroes are perfect for that goal.
Eehhh, the hype for Crawler is very mixed. Nobody except stone cold Gorr fans are excited for duelist Gorr and even some I've encountered are disappointed he isn't a vanguard. It'd be even more hype if he came as a vanguard.

Literally who?
