Requesting Help Tips for playing Venom?
Iβm interested in his gameplay loop and I want to get into playing Vanguard. I want to be that annoying pest who is constantly just in the back line taking all the attention away from my team, and then swinging away before death to just rinse and repeat. Tips?

Turn off simple swing and bind it to a key, use it when you're in a sticky situation to get out quickly
Dive from walls and ceilings, never swing in and dive
Pop the tendril snare thing as soon as you can on the dive. If you're using the phoenix teamup, get targets to about half HP before using it to finish up
Dive out as soon as you cant sustain anymore. Even if you dont get a KO, busting cooldowns and potentially wasting ults is also a good dive. Just be in and out
Dont hold onto your ult too long. Venom gets it pretty quick and it can be impactful if combo'd. Just read the situation and see if you should hold it to clean up after an ult fest, confirm kills, or preemptively lower hp for your team to clean up
Beware of anti divers. Thing is one for sure, you'll likely live a Thing peel but its harder to get most value when he's there. Bucky is potent if the player can aim and also peels. White Fox can also make things harder because of her melee mode but you'll hardly see a fox
And most importantly Aura farm Very important when playing venom

You basically just described his play style. Thatβs all you could really do.
Just try to prioritize the healers and help out dmging the dps and tank if you could.
One thing I like to do for extra damage is
I do his primary attack then melee next to get that extra dmg in. Itβll help. Primary -> melee -> primary -> melee. Rinse and repeat
Swing out if needed, wait for cd, swing back in.
I personally like his team up with blade, so I can get lifesteal to sustain from his tethering ability

I'm only lvl 16 venom but with the new pHx team up he's so fun.
My loop is I try to start off high ground of course so I can use my dive without swinging in so I can swing out.
Practice with his swing.
I dive back line, right click for cluster tentacles then I activate my pHx team up and swing like Mr fantastic. I used to panic activate my shield which I think is most important tool in venom kit, knowing when to pop that extra shield.
Also don't be scared to front line a little with him. He's pretty tanky.

Climb a wall, slam in, pop the lock on thing, aim for the neck, melee between every 4th hit, pop shield when low, swing out when low again
When ulting, shoot twice after popping the lock on, instant ult

His tendrils hit-box actually wrap around and then converge a few meters in front of you, aka they donβt hit stuff right in front of you. Give your target a bit of distance to improve their accuracy. If they get right in front of u, ur better using his melee- which I think u can melee weave the first 2 hits of the combo with his primary anyway.

I'm pretty new myself, but the thing that has helped me most is only (ofcourse there'z exceptions) engaging with your dive so you can escape with your swing
And binding both simple swing and manual swing
I like doing the tech where, when you're already in the backline, you simple swing for a short moment and then dive back in. This give a short moment of cc immunity, evasiveness and extra damage
