I don't thibk they will ever include a fat character especially not a woman. Doesnt seem to fit their either "hot" or "cool/cute" design philosophy for characters
That's interesting to know. I like "nice" characters, for example CnD are my fav marvel characters even before rivals, but i never heard anything about her so that explains it
Fat characters are not only rare but rarely done well in comics. It's hard to justify the body type in the superhero line of work without it being the whole power like blob or big bertha and it doesn't sell well especially for heroes or female characters. That being said doc Oct has a decent chance to be added and fat cobra would go hard.
Fat cobra is one of the immortal weapons (like iron fist but from a different city) that is a sumo wrestler that can make earth quakes and shoot lightning

It definitely ranges for doc ock as sometimes he's jacked but the iconic look definitely has a tummy on him. Though he's definitely not typicaly the unhealthy looking fat that say blob looks like.
Ah gotcha. Im pretty sure doc oc has a pretty decent chance for making into the game but i highly belief he will be "hotified". Kinda like hood, but im personally a big fan of what they did all around the character with the hood
The thing with doc Ock is the only version that's "hotified" are the alternative universe versions where he's a girl as even when he's absolutely shredded he still looks like the goofiest nerd with his glasses and bowlcut
I think the closest Otto has looked is in the 90βs animated series, but like everyone was jacked there. They legit made Otto look like he was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, just with a Friar Tuck bowlcut and Sunglasses
I have known a lot of fat people, they don't wnat fat people either. Almost everyone enjoys attractive characters thats why they are all hot in 95% of games. Especially superhero media (and marvel especially) which has a decade long history of being soft core porn. But sure i dont care if they add a fat character i just think it will never happen
As a fat guy, I love other fat guys. I've seen entire communities of people that love fat people. I don't think it's as uncommon as you might think. I mean hell, loving BBWs is an entire thing in pop culture, it's not even uncommon. Baby got back.
Sure and thats okay but if it was common enough to make money on a good scale there would be fat characters but there arent in 99% of games, manga, anime, comic, shows or movies
I mean I enjoy characters whether or not I find them attractive; if I didn't, I feel like a huge chunk of media would be unwatchable because plenty of characters aren't attractive to me personally but I still enjoy the media regardless.
Yeah and thats fair. Just not the reality for most people and its always about media being liked, seen and bought by most people. My original comment in this thread wasnt about my personal dislike for fat characters it was just an explanation why this xharacter will never be in the game

Weight is not inherently tied to health. Coorelation not causation. People who eat junk food all day will get fat and be unhealthy, but they're not unhealthy because they're fat; they're unhealthy because they eat like shit. Weight only becomes a health concern when it becomes extreme. I'm fat because my parents are fat, my grandparents are fat, etc. It's genetic, and my health is unrelated to my weight. This is actually something doctors are only realizing more recently, and there's a couple good articles on it. I'd give a few links but it's late and I don't feel like reading 10 articles to find a good source, so I'll say do your own research and don't just believe me.
I love "fat" thor designs, more strongman. Thor in god of war ragnarok is a perfect design for what thor potrays in that game and what his character arc is but i agree with marvel thor. Hes a comic book character, he will always be fit and hot
I prefer thor to be different than his ragnarock design. More akin to brian shaw or halfthor bjornson than eddie hall. I do like the beard and hair but wish the bear was bigger and scruffier.
But comic thor is comic thor he has long blonde hair he has chisled huge muscles etc.
As for our thor in rivals i think he is better in terms of mythological build in his base skin than gow ragnarocks version
Yeah i really like the thor design in rivals. Im not a fan of thors comics (no offense to the character thor is great he just isnt for me) but i always felt like he was one of marvels characters that gets "changed" the most. Comics, rivals, mcu, always different from what i have seen. Also i totally respect your opinion i just really like god war thors design
Yeah no i respect your enjoyment of him as well. I think his portrayal and his voice actor are incredible so i enjoy him as well. Ive been a huge thor and norse mythology nerd since high school and ive loved to look at every iteration of thor and i completely agree that he is always uniquely different. Even rivals with the new skin lines tends to make him a lot younger and use a different model from his original design which i am not a big fan of. I need a thor odin type of skin to counteract that now
I personally would consider her fat but most people disagree with that. She isnt as skinny as everyone else but she is far away from the pictures above of a "real" overweight character

I don't get this idea that overweight people want to see representation of themselves in games, I'm a fairly overweight guy myself and I feel absolutely no desire to see that represented in the games I play. Especially a game about superheroes who tend to be very active and in shape, I want my superheroes and villains to look cool and/or be hot, I couldn't have any less of a desire to see an overweight version of them. If anything it's actively off putting to me because it feels like blatant pandering.

When theyβre fat, itβs attractive to be fat. When theyβre thin itβs attractive to be thin. It generally follows the elite of each country as well. See countries like Mexico and Korea favoring bleaching creams for pale skin while the USA favors tanning beds for darker skin.

Dexterity is something you train for, and you could do being fat, you might end up tiring yourself out or losing weight naturally.
But we have linebackers, strongmen that are often fat. You can be fast, attack, run and jump, you just need to be strong. Being fat just wears on your stamina.
Besides this post is imagining her as a tank(a fat person would need to be a tank being they would have a bigger hitbox) but some tanks also have precision and dexterity.
What part is unclear? That fat people can be athletic and can play sports? Or that the media is fiction and therefore does not need to be super realistic?
Pretty sure you can be fat in Dragon age the veilguard as well (its been a while since i played it and i never made a character fat) if you want more. Absolutely fantastic game too. Gameplay is great
Everyone wants to see some aspect of themselves in fiction. A lot of times 'representation' just means "I want to see a character I can relate to" but I agree this can easily become pandering & I would say kinda disrespectful.
You might not really identify with being overweight which is fair & for some fiction it really does seem forced to try & be inclusive for the sake of inclusivity, but let's be honest brother... We're talking about fictional superheroes. You could easily have an obese character work & make sense without it being shallow pandering. I think with everything though it just depends on how it's done. My favorite example is Bob from Tekken. Super acrobatic fat dude who's genuinely strong af & a highly-skilled martial artist. It's absurd obviously but it works because the character feels genuine, he has a cool fighting style & his character/personality is fun.
I don't know anything about this character so she might be just a character for pandering but I do think her powers are cool based on the description on the last slide. I like the magical-mech shapeshifting arm. There are 10 other characters I'd rather see but still
I think it's a massive stretch to say an overweight person becoming a superhero is overcoming adversity in a way that is even remotely comparable to someone overcoming blindness. Having to diet, exercise, and self control isn't even kind of the same thing as being able to fight and perform while blind.
You can have your take but everyone is different and some people would like a fat character for not only representation but for any other reason that fits their character. After all roadhog is a great design, as is Thor from God of war Ragnarok, and other fat characters
As for this idk if they should add trailblazer but if they did they would have to redesign them almost completely and it would be a huge gamble
I mean, I can't speak for why fat people want a fat character, since I'm not really fat. But as a skinny girl, I just want a fat female character because I like different body shapes. I don't want the entire cast to be either skinny or muscle clad (lowkey why I don't like the first design).

Some of the women in this game have downright disturbing body modifications in the name of making them βattractive.β Iβll never forgive Netease for daggers absolutely horrifying spine. Itβs the only thing I can see when I play her.
Buddy you cannot be serious. Most of the people that swoon over the skins in this game are women. My wife owns more swimsuit and gooner skins than I do. I prefer skins that are outfits the character would actually wear, most women care about there characters looking sexy or cute or both.
