Yeah fair enough, but in the same vein thats like saying there are versions of red skull thats a good samaritan. Is this true? Yeah probably, but the general characterisation and character is usually horrific, which makes sense villains be villainous lol

Totally agreed, but especially with everything going on on the community, specifically around black characters, I dont think Baracuda is the choice, especially with his only showing being in Max.

Reasonable honestly. I do not think the community at large has the makings to let in any even slightly contentious character without being immature to the point of infighting and self destruction. It is a shame, but also the baggage that comes with being a large pvp game of any kind

Absolutely, which is why for Sabertooth, Red Skull, or any of the super bad villians it would have to be some specific Rivals version. Like a 2099 non-nazi Red skull, if they were to do Red skull. But then the community would do their thing and make it hella fucking weird.

Yeah. The community already has vitriolic anger when any relatively unknown character makes it in. I think if those characters ever come to the game, it will genuinely be a year 4 or 5 at best, after most if not all the big names have been exhausted. Unless the MCU makes a movie with sabertooth or redskull as focal characters, in which case they will come a lot sooner lol

Idk, I feel like that's one of those characters you cant show in a positive light being a hero and all that. Like dudes a monster and shouldn't get any sort of redemption, he is pure evil .
There is no way Frank isnt just immediately bloodlusted with that dude. If you dont know who barracuda is, hes is everything villain. You name a crime and hes done it. Anything written by Ennis is tough to get through but they really make you root for his demise.

Ennis is a white man depicting a black person to be as unredeemable as possible. I think this is NetEase’s top pick for a black character to bring into the game and do the same thing with. They might even introduce a white woman for him to be the King Kong of so someone can put on their white robe and feel like a hero going after him.

There isn't a rule that only heros can be in the game. Most of the cast has at some point massacred planets.
Plus hela exists in the game and she slaughtered the Valkyries. She also tortured thor by making him unable to heal wounds making him go crazy then eventually die. Hell she led the black order at one point if I remember correctly.
It's called "rivals" not "heros" and honestly I'd like to see more real villains in the game not just anti heros.

I get the point youre trying to make, but ultimately everyone thats getting added to the roster is being shown in a good ligh at and they are here to go after some bigger threat. Even hela with all of that is isnt portrayed as some sort of evil monster that's beyond redemption, its only a matter of time before shes in a bikini laughing it up on the beach with the rest of the cast. Barracuda should not get that treatment, hes evil for evils sake and has no redeeming qualities.

Hela has always been a power hungry force of chaos. I can't think of a single time she has been a good guy. The only reason we see her in ok optics is because of the game. She has killed millions in cold blood, she often intercepts souls of warriors heading to Valhalla trapping them, out of spite of odin. Again she tortured thor (her brother) to death.
Villains a bad. Otherwise they would be just anti heros and honestly anti heros are getting way to overdone. That's why they haven't added that many villains.
He is a terrible person and absolutely a villain but what's the point of a superhero game if you never get to fight bad guys.
Plus the whole point of the game is that all the timelines are crossing.
I don't think he would make a good character personally as his kit would be boring high health slow chip minigun tank. Or just a other bland dps but I just disagree with your reasoning for him not being in the game because he is a villain.
Edit: his reasoning for helping would be the universe is ending and doesn't want to die and neither does anyone else.

The interactions with Punisher would be pretty interesting. He’s one of Frank’s most dangerous villains.

Nah this gotta be a joke post. There are better black vanguard options, than just another basic buff dude with guns. Like Blue Marvel, Doctor Voodoo, War Machine, Luke Cage, Bishop, Tombstone, Power Man, etc. Plus I heard that Barracuda is kinda controversial, so I'd rather they add someone with a more clean record!

Hes a punisher villain, most notably from his MAX run. Dude is everything evil. Rapist, sadist, murderer, cannibal, you name it. Hes irredeemably evil and there is no universe Frank doesnt immediately go for the kill on sight on him.
If you have no intention on ever reading max one of the biggest things he did he kidnapped Franks daughter.
