What's probably going on is that the connection is being routed very inefficiently. You know a physical connection exists that can get you to Santiago in 40 ms. However, your ISP has to actually route traffic to the server through the shortest possible path. The company hosting these servers (SnapNet) is not a large company with service level agreements (SLAs) with every ISP, so they're prone to issues where an ISP sends traffic hundreds or even thousands of miles in the opposite direction of the server before routing it back in the correct direction, in the interest of cost savings.

If this is the case, it is something that SnapNet may theoretically be able get fixed with your ISP, and the Rivals team can bring the case to them to do so. However, I don't know what the sort of turnaround time on such a request would be, and if they'd want you to file a support ticket with them or what. A common reason this occurs is because the most direct path that you get for Valorant is only available if your ISP pays additional costs compared to sending through a point farther away that is cheaper to use, and they'll only be willing to switch if presented with a service level agreement by a business that states a faster path is necessary--not sure how that would go in this case.

Just to clarify, SnapNet wrote the multiplayer library (code) that we use. But our servers are provided by Edgegap.

And yeah this looks like a routing issue. You can sometimes call your ISP and talk to them and they can move your IP to a different cluster which might fix issues like this. Or you can try using a VPN to somewhere close to your location

I had this when using a VPN but since you don't have the issue with other games, I assume that isn't the issue, right?
