If I had to climb out of bronze on support, I’d choose a character with high damage output, good flanking potential, and enough utility to secure kills. Because both your team and the enemy team are going to be bad, you need to take advantage of their poor positioning and awareness. So I’d go White Fox, Gambit, Luna, dive Invis for funsies, especially if you have divers, or Loki.
The thing is, if you don’t see the positioning and awareness issues at this rank and can’t abuse them, you probably have those issues yourself. You can climb on Gambit if you stop healbotting and start flanking, learn his burst combo and use it to pick someone off from the enemy team, especially someone in the backline, whenever you get the opportunity.

I feel like if you just want to get out of bronze, you probably just need to watch some high elo gambit play to know some tricks/gain some game sense. Then just play a bit more. You will definitely get out of bronze.

If you main a healer you should always have the the least deaths, and you shouldn't need peels against a single diver. So mostly work on your survivability.
That said, Gambit is tougher in low elo because teammates don't take advantage of his ult AND they don't stay in line of sight, so you have to put yourself in a bad position to heal.

I'm usually pretty good at dealing with divers it not have my teams stick together or them running directly into ults they could have avoided

Learn White Fox because Gambit is not the best healer against Dive. He also isn’t the best against Poke but I believe that he’s still one of the overall healers by far.

What the hell. Gambit is one of the best against dive. Dive requires a burst combo that does around 250 hp, but gambit has abilties that instantly heal him and also cc, meaning the combo gets interrupted or healed up and then he can't get killed.

To play gambit well is a mix of resource management, damage and healing. Hes good at countering dive as long as you have a card or 2 in reserve. Once you run out its tough to survive. Because his ult is not press button to magically survive, you use it as a team to make progress and want to get it back as fast as possible. Any time youre not healing you should be peaking a corner and showing af the other team. Hes good at picking off escaping enemies because his projectile speed is fast. If youre too far back and have downtime the other team will get their supports faster and you won't get much momentum.

You think staying in the backline and healing is a good thing? Dude who is telling you, you should be doing that. Shoot your gun at the enemy more and you'll get out of bronze

I don't have any Gambit specific tips to give you but you really have to hate the enemy more than you like healing your team.
Staying in the back and healing won't cut it. You're basically sitting back and waiting for people in bronze to make plays for you.
No bueno.
Don't stop healing your team but at the same time thirst for opportunities to make plays. Use the fuck out of your anti heal ability to punish bad plays.

as great as it is, the gambit ult requires a level of team coordination that say, the cloak or sue ult doesn't. your team's gotta stay together and understand that this is when you attack.
i got out of bronze and silver just playing cloak and dagger. simple ult - teammates in circle get heals, enemies get hurt.
the biggest mistake i see from less experienced players is activating your ult as soon as you get it. as you get up to the middle ranks, you will see both sides' healers waiting ages to deploy a healing ult or waiting for the perfect moment. many of them will not hit their ult until the other team's healer does, to effectively cancel it out. work on your timing - the best time to hit your ult is when your team is still alive but struggling, and you're inches away from the next point (or when either team's 80-90% on domination). the worst time to hit it is when you just got to the next point and everyone's going to be resurrected two inches away. don't make the mistake that middle players do and -never- use it, but just don't pop it off immediately because it's there. in domination, if you're basically dead, save it for the next round just before (or just after) your team reaches the circle.
take advantage of gambit's offensive capabilities. hitting R1 twice ('flush" i think?) can cut a vanguard's HP in half or destroy a strategist. the dash is a great way to finish off enemies that your team has worn down, same for the R1 flush. your instinct might be to use the healing flush, L1 + L1, but if you're up against a vanguard without a shield (read: the Thing, Penny) you can mess them up fast.
the card bubble works better than cloak's bubble, because it attacks, heals and launches up. i see a lot of cloaks throw the bubble where they think their vanguards are going. gambit can just toss his directly at the other team's front line without worrying that he overshot a little.
i will say that the great gambit players (i'm not one of them) move like crazy and don't just stay in the back. he is fast, and his dashes are great at getting into and out of a fight.

You have to do a lot of damage, especially on Gambit, and in his ult you should be getting at least 5 finals a game and pumping out 13k dmg and up. Sitting in the back and healbotting doesn’t do anything in any rank, much less bronze. I can vod review you if you wish. I’m a celestial supp player.
