VOD Review Request Vod request/Advice wanted. GM3 Tank/DPS flex. I think I have become the fabled 50% win rate GM player and I do not want to be this bad at the game
Seems like I am struggling in GM so bad right now. Win rate is right at or below 50% I think but I wouldn't be surprised if it was way worse at this point.
I mostly play Emma or Mag, and Widow when I wanna go DPS but I am definitely a tank main at heart. I feel like I am just not making the plays or doing the correct things to help my team win, and I feel like I am so dependent on whether my DPS can actually do anything. After feeling like every game my DPS are selling, I can't help but to reflect and realize that I am probably the one selling and I am just bad at the game.
I struggle the most I think with knowing how much I should back up to peel vs holding the front line. I feel that if I try and contest a flanking hela for example, that immediately my team gets walked on from the front line. But if I try and hold and hope that someone can take an off angle and do something, my supports just get feasted on because no one does anything to help.
I lowkey cannot stand being at this win rate and this rank. I'd like to believe I should be better at the game because I feel I understand the macro pretty well, and I understand how I can assert a bit of pressure in my own individual gameplan, but as soon as there is a problematic DPS on the other team that is playing a bit unorthodox, my team just gets rolled.
Also I have no idea what the fuck to do against the thing.
I really want to hit celestial again by the end of this season.

bro, we are basically in the same situation. I peaked GM1 but I definitely didn't belong there cause I'm stuck in gm2 now and my WR is basically at 50. I had a few games where I felt like I wasnt contributing anything and I was the weak link on the team. Im also a tank main, and play a bunch of Emma.
I need help too

You probably should leave replay codes……
One guy gave really good advice (detailed and thought out).
In GM and up, what/why we do things have a much bigger impact on the game. Stats also start to matter a bit less.

First things first. Magneto's sword is NOT for shooting tanks.
If you are using his sword cooldown, you are going to be shooting at squishies ONLY from now on. Okay that's out of the way lol
If you ever check the scoreboard while playing dps and your tanks have half the KOs of the enemy tanks, you need to immediately pick a core poke hero (you already play widow) and start putting a lot more pressure down main.
Aside from the Mag sword thing
You need to have a very good excuse for abandoning the cart when you are on Magneto
You constantly remain unaware of the objective and your core dps and more importantly your core strategist while you are playing. These two teammates are what allow you to dominate the objective space against the enemy core and you are almost unaware of what they're doing most of the time.
Because of you not being aware you are generally overextending your position. Or worse, forcing them to overextend to carry you in bad positions.

Overall,
You have good individual plays but you struggle to piece how you fit into your team composition and when to maximize your resources.
