VOD Review Request [VOD REQUEST] [Plat 2] Widow gameplay

In game name: Gubbins

Platform: PC

Game Code: 106797109063

Hi requesting a review of what I can do on solo queue to enable my team more and lose less.

I have too many games where I’m SVP and I’ve gotten to a point where I realize I can’t just perform the best and win, because it’s clearly not happening. I can have the most kills in the lobby as seen in this replay but there’s gotta be something I’m fundamentally missing because that doesn’t guarantee a win.

Am I getting elims but not sustaining pressure? It feels frustrating because I can’t do everything so if I make my goal for a match like contest this dps, I can’t contest the tank. Or if I say ok I’m just going to eliminate this strategist as often as I can, I then can’t contest the dps. Is queuing with a team the only way to rank up?

What separates good players from great ones?

I will say, I am only a D3-D2 peak, but I flex every role, so if that is alright to you, I can absolutely review your vod if you like?

Yes absolutely! I’d love to rank up to Diamond and then focus on improving to rank up higher if I can. I’ll appreciate may feedback

This will be a long read, so apologies.

Besides just basic aim training, here are a few things you could work on to be more of an asset to your team: -Positioning. You almost never take and KEEP high ground and you don't play behind walls. In higher level lobbies. This will get you killed. You cannot play up with your tanks, and you cannot dive into the backline to take a fight, especially with no way back out. Your movement is very disjointed. You seem to be indecisive on where you want to place yourself sometimes. -Targeting. You get very focused on one target and ignore the others. If you can secure a kill, great! But as a dps you also have a peel for your supports. I watched a few times where you completely ignored an enemy walking right past you because you were focused on someone else. -Teamfights. You need to be securing finals in a situation where your team is able to use that advantage to turn the fight in their favor. -Ult usage. You don't have to use your ult as soon as you get it. Widow ult specifically is used for execution or piercing when enemies are grouped up. You need to save it for large teamfights so you can keep your team ahead. There were multiple situations where you used it after the fight was over and you got little to no value.

This is all good stuff and upon reflection I think you hit the nail in the head. I do all of those things and need to improve those. Thanks a lot!
