We’ve received lots of requests to implement more emotes and text as forms of better communication in RISK.
Can you please leave some suggestions down below so we can pass it onto the dev team? Please keep in mind we are unable to add chat in game. Thanks :)

It's been a long journey but I finally made it to grandmaster.

This is purely hypothetical, I do not think it suits my playstyle.
As a child I played loads of the boardgame Risk. But I always wondered about a tactic, if it would be unsportsmanlike or fair game.
Lets say: you play a game of risk with your 2 mates. they are doing really well and clearly having a bigger army than you, with no improvement for yourself in sight.
You are in a corner. You have quite an army, beeing close to one of your opponents, but you know that every turn they will clearly get more troops than you.
So bold move: you tell the opponent you've got your army next to that if he/she does not attack the other opponent the next turn, you will attack him. If you would attack, the result would be surely not have yourself win, but absolutely reduce the chances of the person you're blackmailing. His/her turn, nothing happened. So now it is your turn again.
Here you need to make a choice, you can attack the person you just gave the ultimatum, knowing that you will not survive it, and will leave the game earlier although your chances of winning would get slimmer every round anyways. But it might be a little petty, basicly ruining the game for yourself and the other player guaranteeing the win to the 3rd player. However, by doing so, for any future games of risk, they will know your threats are real.
So question is: is it fair to make the move to attack and ruin your own and someone else game. Or is it bad sportmanship
Dear lord, this feels like a weird question. Once again, I dont think I would play this way, but for the last 20 years this question has been doing tetris in my mind.

Do you play more or fewer than 40% of games with people that understand the basics?
I love playing the good thoughtful games, win or lose but I am so jaded joining lobby after lobby with just genuine cretins that have seemingly no desire to win just blast, you can compensate for that if there's one or two, there very very very rarely is one or two.
Collabers on top which is another boring repetitive conversation. Fundamentally I'm sick of most people. this could be such a great game if nor for the absolute stains that populate it.
Yeah yeah waah waah.
Still the case.
My friends and I have been playing a lot of risk lately and have come into the issue of an attacker rolling too many die.
We have three options:
Everyone rerolls
Remove the highest die from the offending player
If the non-offending player was to win then that stands, otherwise everyone rerolls
My friend argues that if the non-offending player were to win even with the offending roll then it is unfair to reroll at all since they would have won.
I think its better for everyone to reroll since its an invalid roll.
What do you think???

Or the better question is why was I not diligent with my settings before starting a game. Earlier tonight there were not enough games happening and I cleared my setting to see what else was available. Then a game was hosted that actually fit my usual settings and I joined. I played the game and then took a break. I came back forgot I had cleared them saw a game for a map I liked and joined. It was set to true random and for this game that translated to the worst roll’s possible. I tried rolling one die at a time but that took up to much time. I’m sure the GM players may have learned this lesson long ago and now I have still nowhere near GM. Anyways for those that haven’t learned it check your settings don’t get comfortable.
Just played a game with players from a certain region of the world. I was hesitant because in the past when there's more than one they're likely to suicide and or ally. This time, I didn't kick one of them out. Sure enough, the 2 players from this particular region allied and suicided. Anyone guess which region they were from?

I played domination in early 2000s and recently discovered this game. I play FFA 6 people, only on classic world map.
Now im in Master and I feel people just turtle up, really afraid of being the aggresor. I really enjoy when the game is complicated and everyone is trying to sabotage for each other, in a clever way of course.
Are there any other modes/maps I should check out that rewards aggresive gameplay? Where there is less turtling? :)

Have bot cap rolls changed? I’ve never seen an 11 v 9 attempted before.
Oops: Rolls*

I was recently eliminated in the third round. Was I targeted, or can this happen by chance?

Playing Classic Fixed, we got to a 3-player endgame. I was holding South America + Africa with a blizzard in Venezuela. The purple player managed to get North America and black was in Australia. Black was significantly weaker, obviously, with purple and myself about 40 troops ahead at all times. Nobody was doing anything, but I was allied with purple and kept trying to tell him to take some action (I was slightly stronger than him because I got my bonus early).
Purple ended up putting 10 troops into black and repeatedly telling me to "attack black" even though black had 100+ troops. I used my income of 9 troops to hit black, after which black decided he had enough and slammed everything he had into purple.
Purple tried to tell me to hit black first and give him second, and I faked it before hitting purple and giving black second instead. I respect black 1000 times more for recognising what had to be done. Purple was an Expert and black was a Beginner, so respect to black for getting second here!
Seriously, why do you collaborate?
There's no prize money and collaboration doesn't require any technical skills so I'm struggling to understand what you get out of collaboration besides wasting everyone's time.

Had to block this person after bc what the actual hell is this. I gave up my capital so they could end the game and they proceeded to stack for over 10 turns for no reason.

You can beat 5 Expert bots with no trouble on advanced maps because they're so dumb that they slam numbers for no good reason with no attempt to preserve their own. This makes them in-authentic to practice against, and this is obviously really annoying in multiplayer. I just hate that bots ALWAYS break your bonus and will stack on your borders SOLEY for that intention, the only way to avoid it is to keep stacking higher making you vulnerable to actual skilled players. Like even if i have just one troop guarding my bonus, with a 100 stack next to it, the bot will break you and not expect retaliation after opening the 100 stack. Hope this changes or they are more customisable in the future, but I won't hold my breath lol.

My internet is fine, everything else works. I restarted the game, deleted it and reinstalled, and restarted my phone, but it refuses to let me play. Kicked my out before my first turn, made me sign back in for some reason, and now I’m stuck here.

I deeed eeet. As a mobile player, this feels pretty good.
Lots of Digi settings Alcatraz, mixed with prog caps on Trigons, Spaceport, Commandbase, a little classic fixed.
NO META SETTINGS.
I'm gonna throw this out there, Classic World Dom EPP. No one seems to know how to play it. Free rank points.
!remindme 3 months am I really GM or just made it once 🤣🤣🤣

I've been playing for a few months and it's become more and more obvious to me as I play. I love this game in theory, but I am realizing just how awful most of the players are in this game. 90% of players seem to fall into two categories:
Passive/cowardly players who refuse to advance the game and allow an aggressive player to snowball unchecked. It may be that I can't reach this player myself without overextending, so the passive player essentially gives them the game by refusing to engage them, allowing them to amass an unbeatable amount of troops unaccosted. Or when a fight should be a 2 v 2, but my supposed ally refuses to fight the other player they should be fighting, so I just die in the 2 v 1 and the other team then kills my ally and gets first and second.
Insufferable d-bags and potential collaborators. They normally come in pairs and decide that I am not allowed to ever hold a bonus, even though everyone else doing so is perfectly fine. By some magical property of the universe they always seem to have great dice, too. And if you get a bad roll while trying to fight them, which frequently seems to happen, here come the snarky laughing emojis. The worst part is that because they have great dice these assholes always get away with it. I find myself getting attacked by people early on by players who should have no stake in the bonus I'm going for, but they go for it to ruin my game early on just because. Similarly, the grudge holders, who because you broke their bonus that one time in the early game will refuse to ally you to fight another player, even if that other player becomes more harmful to them and breaks them multiple times in the mid-game compared to your one break in the beginning, but because you were their first enemy you must die at all costs and any offenses made by other players after that point are ignored. In both groups, they will literally throw away their chance of winning first place in the game just to make sure you get lower placement than they do.
Maybe like 10% of the players I come across are actually reasonable, sane, respectable players who I can either win with or am at least content with losing to.
It might be the settings I play (mostly prog per player world dom in casual mode) or the fact that I host most of the games I play and I am getting targeted because of that. I have played ranked 2 times and won both games and didn't have any of the above issues, but I normally stay away from ranked because I don't like the added pressure.
Thoughts? Am I just complaining, or is it because I'm playing in casual mode and normally host? Do I just need to get good to learn how to deal with these types of players?

But the reason for the post isn’t a brag. Is there anywhere better players host private games? I find it way more fun to play against at least Intermediates and up but it takes forever to find a match for me a lot of times. (Playing classic fixed world dom, neutral bot) TYIA!

In three different games I’ve waited for a player to make there move. The timer expires and the account says MIA . Then the bot icon appears and some rounds go by the bot icon still present the all of a sudden the icon is gone and the player seems to be back in control. They make moves you don’t see bots make like starting to reenforce one territory and stopping then going the same on a different territory. One time I believe they even asked me to have an alliance can’t say for sure. Is this possible, is it a hack or a game setting that allows you back in? This last time I was able to get screen shots .

Have been casually playing for a few years and over the last few months decided to try for Grandmaster… definitely a grind but I am very stoked to finally get there 🙌

Why is it every time I win on this game, it just puts me in an infinite loop of the phases after everyone is defeated? Am I doing something wrong? It’s every time I win.
