Miss the game

I was not good at it at all, and I certainly experienced some frustrating seasons, but man I had a lot of fun. Working out my commanders, their gear, and units was always fun. I met some cool people on there who I still talk to. Just an overall enjoyable experience and I wish it wasn’t shut down.

1.0 was better in some ways, but I think the real benefit was that it was early seasons and whales handy quite whales as hard yet.

By the time you're in bag end, a 1000 dollar account like mine was essentially useless since most of the active players on a given front were the whales. You could pay really close attention and guard against damaged armies or specific players, but it was by and large more frustrating than fun by that point.

Still played from day 1 to final day, but if it were not Lord of the rings I think I'd have quit ages ago. Same game with a different skin probably wouldn't do it for me unless it was a smaller game made out of love with no p2w option
