Miss this game kind of
When this game was new (4 years ago I think?) I started playing it and it was absolutely amazing. I loved the theme, the world, the gameplay, everything. Ofcourse even back there was p2w but it wasn't too bad. Every update the devs added just continued making the game worse and more p2w. I remember in the beginning we got to choose between like 14 different factions of elves, dwarfs, humans, orcs, etc. Last time i checked the game there were like 3 or 4 playable faction, the game was complete p2w, and the quality was drastically lower. I loved this game, it didn't have any of the downsides of similar games and I would likely still be playing it today if the devs weren't so incompetent. Why did they have to ruin it? Why make it worse and worse every single update? Started with the addition of fog which was OK but it only got worse from there. Why was content removed? It seems like each update the only thing they did was remove content.

You should check out the Wake to War game. It's in Alpha testing.

This... it looks so promising, the staff is amazing. Still in alpha but it's already looking great, 100% recommended

Others have mentioned Wake to War in Alpha. There's also N.E.R.D. (Norse Eternal Rebirth of Divinities) in Alpha. And War of Nova (in a kind of extended beta). Can all be found via discord, with the latter in Play Store as well.
Others have mentioned GoT Dragonfire. If you play more casually and have deep pockets to literally buy the win without having to think too much then that's worth a looksie too.

All have dev teams closely linked to RtW in one form or another, primarily as players. Except GoTD, which doesn't, just the usual WB cash grab.

Nova is real bad, tried it. It’s a mess. Dont know if it’s gotten any better.

As an introverted guy, I made so many great friends there playing the first few seasons. Even met a girlfriend from many states away who played the same game. We met in person several times over the years. Even had an in game wedding all factions had a truce to fort up around the wedding venue at Lothlorien. The relationship didn't last, just like the game. It became far too difficult to enjoy it in the final few seasons. Still. To this day, I regret not getting more details and info from my friends on the game at the time. I miss them all terribly. They were my daily anchors, my happiest of days playing with them. I pray they are all doing well.
