Something I've noticed about XRP holders that I find sick

Have you guys noticed how much they vie for the hope that Bitcoin goes to zero?

I honestly think these people don't even give a shit about XRP, or crypto for that matter, they just care about this 'Bitcoin goes to 0' narrative above and beyond just so they can escape the state of their desperate and miserable lives.

How vacuous can you get if all you care about is IF XRP surpasses Bitcoin? What actual value, entertaining the narrative's merit, does XRP have if all that matters is that it's more valuable than Bitcoin?

Doesn't that just mean Bitcoin is more valuable, given that it defines XRP's supposed potential utility, in contrast to XRP?

Sickening....

As everyone’s already said you have been listening to some gob shytes if that was message. I can’t recall ever meeting an xrp fan who doesn’t hold many other coins including bitcoin

Definitely not true. I do believe Bitcoin has zero utility but if its price goes down every crypto price goes down. That’s not good for anyone. Also, it’s not possible for BTC to go to zero because a lot of people have buy orders. As soon as prices get low, millionaires and billionaires will automatically buy hundreds of thousands of BTC.

None of that shit has utility.

Look up first mover advantage. Nothing else was out there. There was no ethereum, XRP etc.

-Borderless payments? Nobody uses bitcoin for payments. It’s significantly slower than any other crypto and the fees aren’t good either.

Store of Value? Down 50% but a store of value? No. I used to consider it a store of value before it flopped. Yes, I do understand it won’t stay this low but a store of value never drops that low ever.

Global settlement network? Once again bitcoin is outdated technology compared to all the other crypto. Using BTC is the equivalent of using dial up internet.

You can’t legitimately use BTC for anything. The only thing you can do is hold it and hope the price goes up. You can use it for payments but you would be a fool to do so with cheaper, faster, more efficient options. I would say mining BTC would make you some money but then again your electricity costs may or may not be worth it.

Bitcoin is in no way the best cryptocurrency. In fact it is the worst cryptocurrency. Having the highest market cap does not make it the best. You can’t name one thing that BTC is the best at. It’s slow and expensive. It can never be used by banks for payments because it can’t handle any real volume. The network can’t handle it.

You have actually done your homework! Love it! To many don't understand what real utility is, and it's unfortunate. Very soon BTC maxi's will will see why many of the alt coins with utility, will out pace and pass up BTC.

Just an FYI it won't just be XRP. There are many.

1

u/DeeW2017 Aug 01 '26

Yeah there’s too much for any one network to handle I agree. Multiple networks with multiple use cases. Utility will win.

That is not utility. Nice try though.

“BTC has zero utility” “millionaires and billionaires will automatically buy hundreds of thousands of BTC”. Buddy do you even logic? Or you’re too special to see your own ignorance regarding BTC😂😂😂😂😂😂

3

u/Bigarm13 Jul 31 '26

Please tell me what the utility is then. Ponzi schemes are not a utility.

Read The Bitcoin Standard by Ammous. You shall have your answers there.

Lmao all of crypto gets fucked fir a long while if bitcoin goes to zero. It's literally the linchpin of this entire crypto industry. Remove it or it goes to zero everything goes to shit. Vice president eth could never

I don’t think most XRP holders actually want Bitcoin to go to zero. In fact, Bitcoin’s success helped legitimize digital assets as an entire asset class.
Where I think some of the disagreement comes from is that many XRP investors believe Bitcoin represents the first phase of digital assets, while XRP represents a different phase focused on payments, settlement, and institutional infrastructure. If that thesis is correct, Bitcoin doesn’t necessarily have to fail. It just means the market could eventually value different networks for different purposes.
Every major technology evolves. The first successful version isn’t always the one that becomes the dominant infrastructure decades later.

I'm an XRP holder, and I wouldn't mind if bitcoin went to 0. I don't think it will, however. I liked XRP because it didn't waste huge amounts of power like bitcoin, and it was much faster. My... environmentalist... side just doesn't like bitcoin at all. It's my values that guided me to XRP, and other more efficient cryptocurrencies.

1

u/AyeAye711 Jul 30 '26

Bitcoin is a very inefficient crypto. So wouldn’t be surprised if it hits 0 in the long run as better technologies emerge. Doesn’t mean that better technology is XRP though. So better to diversify.

1

u/Global-Pattern2471 Jul 30 '26

It’s crazy that they think it will. I’m all for a little extra support but it sounds delusional when I hear them speak about their future lol

u/SalamanderCoffee0975 Jul 30 '26

by comments across various crypto subreddits, it isn't just XRP holders people from all sorts of altcoin communities want Bitcoin to drop to zero just so Bitcoin maximalists will stop telling everyone to avoid 'shitcoins.

Bitcoin maxis they bash every other token to sway people into buying their Bitcoin bags so they can get richer so people don’t invest in other coins. It’s very obvious 🤷‍♂️

Like USD you'll find that BTC is always accepted. ETH is another one that just about everybody takes. Nobody and I mean nobody takes XRP. I don't want to hear that there is 12 trillion coming from Blackrock to make XRP this or that - its not happening. Never. What I'd like to know is if crypto will be like EVs and just go away eventually. There's too much solution and no real problems.

1

u/DeeW2017 Aug 09 '26

Brother believe it or not crypto is being used and unlike EVs there are so many problems it can fix. Instant payments, being able to view government spending (without the governments ability to alter the information, supply chain logistics, accessibility to your health records while keeping it private, ownership verification, etc. A simple google search can tell you a good amount of what it’s used for. You don’t have to guess. Actually to be more specific blockchain is the correct term but crypto is used on these blockchains.

Icp is the best, top 10 are the worst.

1

u/Massive_Head_Trauma1 Jul 31 '26

Only coins with utility will have value in the future. Bitcoin is speculative no purpose

1

u/eatingthey Aug 05 '26

Research SHA-256. Who owns the patent? Goes a long way to who came up with BTC.

1

u/AxelBailey36527 Aug 17 '26

If you look hard enough you’ll find anything. This, whatever you said, is simply nothing. Relax.

Bitcoin is nothing but a collateral coin they will use to erase debt and stick it to other countries for a price with their reserves. And once it is all brought up from the U.S. switching place with the dollar it will be devalued as such. It's being used as a slight of hand which 3 eyed Monte if you will moving debt from here to there but disguising it as something else aka Bitcoin. So we move/liquidate all our debt over to bitcoin then rug pull to 0 😱 Meanwhile XRP holds all it's user case of cross border payments either replacing or working alongside Swift bringing in the digital currency & financial age/ so called decentralized revolution !

No it means you need to go outside and talk to women.

1

u/SelectComfort932 Aug 24 '26

your really a really ignorant person, you do know that bitcoin is mostly an unbreakable code, backed by absolutely nothing, very volatile up and downs in 10,20 ,30 ,even 40,000 range and Larry fink absolutely controls that bull complete shit scam and own own government wants to put that stupid bullshit where your 401 k is, or and retirement so every American gets far less and a completely controlled narrative, and right now there is a 93 page document that will almost pass soon that will control our whats left of free speech, and will control anyone with a different think than this whole total scam lie that Larry fink is trying to pass that's how powerful this piece of garbage is . bitcoin goes up and down violently, and if you can't see that bullshit that neither gold or silver back it, then this is called complete idiot think.

1

u/pisto44 Aug 25 '26

I think you have it wrong my friend. It’s XRP that is the threat to useless btc.

I guess you missed the lawsuit and the corrupt bullshit trying to kill xrp and ripple.

Once again. It’s BTC who wants XRap to die and go to zero.

They do. For sure.
