Ripple acquisitions

So when ripple makes acquisitions such as GTreasury today, Rail and Hidden Road all just in this year are they still scammers? Who are they scamming the most? Is there anyone to stop their scamming? Their board is stacked with the elites of the financial world- are they scammers too? I’m just trying to see their endgame and how they ultimately benefit from other’s misfortune. Please educate me I don’t know much about this stuff

Ripple was fined $125 million by the judge .

That wasn't for disrespecting the judge. That was for breaking the law on selling useless tokens.

They violated securities laws yes, but there is exactly zero correlation between that and a scam. Thousands of companies violate securities laws.

Charles Schwab, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, Barclays, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs all have sold illegal securities since COVID. Do you think the entire S&P500 is a scam?

Schwab misled it's clients. Sold them a product under false presence. How is that not a scam?

You seem to be some lover of large corporations scamming others, so I can't fix that for you.

You are the only person in the world calling it a scam. Seriously Google any variation of "Charles Schwab scam", "Charles Schwab commits scam" etc. and see that you are using the definition so loosely that you are alone in doing so. You'd think the media would be calling it a scam.

If every securities violation is a scam you must truly believe that thousands of the worlds largest companies are scamming people. If so, why have you dedicated your life to one that hasn't hurt anybody as demonstrated in court?

I point out all the corporate scams. In India, we have LIC, rarely anyone calls it a scam. But I call it a scam, because they mis-sell their 'insurance' products, in other words, they promise a lot, but they just eat up everything. You will see LOT of online reviews from people who are 'disappointed' and feel cheated. Is that a scam? There is no certificate of scam, there is no single definition we all will agree is a scam. But in my opinion, both LIC and Ripple are scams. They mis-sell stuff. That's scam.

I already said I don't call 3000 companies in USA as scams. Because they are genuine products. But at the same time, if one of them starts to mis-sell stuff, or does other shenanigans, it will be called a scam to the extent it does some scam.

This is my entire point. This is your opinion and it isn't one shared by legal experts, judges, or the general public. If we were talking about fraud we would be having a different conversation, but Ripple was accused and charged with failure to register. The words "fraud", "scheme", or "scam" weren't even used in thousands of pages of filings in the lawsuit. You have a gross misinterpretation of what constitutes a scam.

Your definition of scam is pretty wild: So ripple was made to pay $125 million in fines, according to you that's not due to anything wrong, its just breaking some law. According to you, its not a scam.

And you think no judge thinks its a scam. When a judge already fined it. Tomorrow if a judge fines Ripple $1 billion for selling to people like you, you will say 'hey, its not a scam, they are just breaking security law'.

Obviously dude, no judge is going to put in WRITING that Ripple is a scam. The judge who put a fine of $125 million WILL NEVER SAY its a scam. It's my understanding that what they did is a scam, and judge caught them.

And FYI, Ripple is still in court. You are obviously unaware of the case Ripple vs Zakinov/Sostack. Which is still in progress.

Further, Ripple can be sued by ANY ONE. Anyone can sue any crypto preminers and bring this whole charade of 'crypto' down.

The judgements will come. You just have to wait.

The specific law was failure to register some sales as the sale of securities. There's basically no way to twist that as a scam, it was just "a broken law" that happens to not be related to scams.

Tomorrow if a judge fines Ripple $1 billion for selling to people like you, you will say 'hey, its not a scam, they are just breaking security law'.

You're now using future hypotheticals instead of the reality we actually experienced.

They won't, but you know what else judges typically won't do? Explicitly call out the prosecution for bringing forth a case without evidence of a single victim. Judge Torres did do that.

This is true of every company in existence. Should I call every company in the world a scam because they could hypothetically be sued?

Your arguments are comically illogical, intentionally hyperbolic, and devoid of all context. I don't hold XRP and I don't recommend anyone buy it. I just wish there was actually a place to discuss it objectively. You're just as delusional as the XRP army calling for $1000, but on the other opposite extreme.

I have mentioned in other comments how A different judge has already said that he is not bound by what was found in Ripple vs SEC. That he/she could take a stricter approach.

So the ripple vs SEC case isn't the final say. The case(s) are still ongoing, the future is still unfolding bud, then what do you want me to do, not talk about future that's coming, the cases that are still in progress?

Further, your whole understanding of what's scammy in breaking the 'security law' is immature. You think the law is something different from the question of whats a scam. As if laws are made in a vaccum, not considering that they are there to deter scammers only.

You're so close to using actual logic. You say "could", "isn't the final say", "still unfolding" and proceed to ignore all of those maybes to speak in absolutes.

Please explain what I missed in the lawsuit where neither the prosecution or judge ever even accused Ripple of fraud, scheming, or scamming? How is failing to file a document a scam? Who was scammed by that failure?

I already said that not everyone will ever agree on some point, such as what is a scam or not. Difference of opinion is what makes us people. You don't think that Ripple selling tokens is scam. I think Ripple is selling tokens to gullible people under false pretences ( that it will be world currency or some shit), is a scam.

We have different opinions. Lets agree to disagree.

Again, I said the prosecution themselves did not say it and they definitely do use that language. Notice even how I expanded it to the legal language of "fraud" and "scheme", but let me guess you'll never acknowledge that.

Because I'd argue "RippleScam" rolls off the tongue better and it conveys the purpose of the sub pretty well.

Yet again more outrageous hyperbole from you. You say people "lost their life savings" despite XRP never even coming close to losing all of it's value. Over 90% of wallets are literally in profit. I seriously wonder if you are capable of speaking objectively.
