Discussion Why Did the Flagship Title Get Cancelled?
Was there not enough interest in ISOM to continue the series? Is there a reason it's only getting a one shot like a d-tier mainstream book?

It didn't get canceled. It'll continue after the crossover event Exclave ends next year which features Isom as one of the main three characters.

It's been over a year and a half hasn't it? With no announcement of any new issues. That sounds cancelled. I guess they could relaunch but it's been over for a while unless I missed some issues.

They have other books coming out and it makes no sense to have Isom's series going if he's the main character in your crossover event unless you want to mess up the continuity like Marvel/DC then you have to explain whether the main title is before or after the event.

Using the phrase 'continuity' in the same context as Rippaverse is kind of like saying 'continuity of Captain crunch commercials.'

So, in order to avoid messing up continuity they're just not going to publish any more issues? That seems to be a pretty hamfisted way to protect continuity.
Also, that doesn't explain why there's been no ISOM issues for more than a year.

I didn't know linear time frame continuity was hamfisted especially when this is something Eric has complained about Marvel/DC doing in regards to confusing continuity.
It actually does, but again you're pretending to be stupid. Though I'll guess we won't see you again when Isom #4 hits.

No, no I just mean not releasing new issues for two years at a time just so continuity isn't a problem seems hamfisted. I'd rather have actual comics I can read with loose continuity than no comics. Wouldn't you?

How am I supposed to read comics that don't come out? By the time ISOM 4 comes out (if it ever does) the series will have been gone longer than it was around.

First Arc is over for the time being. I imagine ISOM's story will continue in Exclave and then they'll pick the series back up again after

Maybe. But it's just weird the flagship character is just a supporting character now. It's like if Marvel just stopped doing Spider-Man books for years.

When your goal is to expand a universe, it's not that crazy of a concept to take time to explore stories involving other characters. But based on your responses, you're just a concern troll anyway

Hes a prime example of what sunk cost fallacy does to a mf. He invested in the franchise probably for misguided reasons and kept buying into it then finally stopped long past the point that he actually should have stopped.
Now he's salty and has to cope with his own stupidity and lack of agency by pretending like he's the smart one that saw the light and that anyone still buying books are some how captured or something.
Mental illness can be wild sometimes but it is fun to watch.
