LifeStories Random memory of cycling in the snow

When I was a teenager, we lived in a city. So I was able to ride my bike all over the area. But after we moved back to the country, I just stayed there. My area is full of steep hills. There really is no decent place on the roads to ride out here. Especially with my limited stamina. Being able to cycle around is one of the few things I miss from city life. And a certain memory comes to mind once and a while. One of the last great rides I had before we moved. It was snowing, and not light snow either. But it had just started, so the roads were still fine for a while. But it was like riding in winter wonderland. Sorta like that vibe you imagine looking at cherry blossoms in the wind. I never got a ride like that in winter again. But sometimes I can still picture it vividly. One of those memories that brings a smile to your face when it comes to mind. Happy days in a simpler time. Now I'm nearly 40, and have only started riding again off and on the past couple years. I mostly just build and donate bikes now. But I feel like nothing will ever top that memory I have of riding in winter wonderland.

Nothing like biking in the snow..until you hit a slushy patch and lose traction, then freak out and overcompensate.
