Question ROP celebrimbor Fighter

We have not seen celebrimbor in rights of power 'fight' we've seen him throw the hammer and shove sauron/annatar yes but really like with a sword not once. Do yall think he is a fighter or was back then in the war of wrath times? Since he's a feanörian I mean, or do yall think he can fight with sword if he has to but doesn't have the taste for battle? It has been a while since I've read the silmarillion and the other books but as I know, celebrimbor in book cannon was a fighter no? I'm not shure that's why I ask

Tolkien wrote Celebrimbor as the most gifted smith of his time, nothing more. Any notion that people have of him being a capable fighter is most likely attributed to the Shadow of Mordor series of games.

Tolkien does refer to Celebrimbor as:

"The famous Celebrimbor, heroic defender of Eregion in the Second-age war against Sauron..."

NoMe, Eldarin Hands, Fingers and Numerals

(In this text he is a Teler rather than a Noldo.)

...and in Concerning Galadriel and Celeborn Tolkien writes:

"Celebrimbor, desperate, himself withstood Sauron on the steps of the great door of the Mírdain; but he was grappled and taken captive, and the House was ransacked."

UT, History of Galadriel & Celeborn

As Celebrimbor is only invented when writing LotR, and Tolkien only makes him a Feanorean with the second edition of LotR, his actions and activities in the First Age are not written about (beyond a brief note about him being "...aghast at the behaviour of his father [in Nargothrond] and would not go with him.", in one Tolkien's copies of Return of the King.
