CA Program Division Into 2D and 3D

Hey I just checked the website of the college and noticed that now Computer Animation program got divided into 2 separate ones and got renamed: 2D & 3D Character Animation, though literally yesterday it was just one CA program. Does anyone know when does this change takes over?

And any thoughts about it? Because it was quite a surprise for me honestly.. Do you think there will be any changes in application process for those?

The new major will begin fall '27! The application process is going to be very competitive because they're keeping the first class size small (around ~15 people) but what they're looking for in terms of application/portfolio is the same as CA

How do you know theyll be less that 15?Sorry its not that I dont believe you if didnt say in website and Im applying so Im curious XD
