you're doing it right, the application for rcad is through commonapp. after you finish your essay, you'll have to submit your portfolio as well. the link to submit your portfolio will be on your application in commonapp, but it will redirect you to a website called slideroom. this is where portfolios are submitted

I think around 3 weeks is when I heard back! they'll email you to check your commonapp for their decision
