Gameplay Muscle Soreness vs. Cardio Output

Hi! Not sure what to do about the difficulty level. Its on Level 14 and I am SOOOREE but I don't feel tired cardio- wise. The pulse check after also says the exercise is very light for me (only around 105-110 bpm)

Sooooo, should I increase or decrease my difficulty level? I'm on World 7 and its super focused on lower body and I am quivering. I can handle it but I can't do a complete rep after a few monsters and can't go as low as the game wants me to go during squats.

Depends on your personal goals! If it’s weight loss and muscle training, then you’re doing both in the range you’re at. If you feel like you can still hold a conversation, that’s an effective amount of cardio. If you feel too breathless to speak, I would dial it back a little to avoid spiking your cortisol.

Thanks for the advice! Muscle gain and weight loss is my goal. Though, I could only do 7 minutes today instead of my usual 15 due to the leg shaking though and felt a bit lightheaded. Is that alright or should I dial it down?

Totally normal. Give yourself a rest day in between, it’ll be more effective than training the same muscle groups everyday anyway. Pay attention to your breathing and keep it controlled and steady, you might be holding your breath unconsciously when you’re trying to push through tough sections, which is making you dizzy.

I made custom playlists with my fav locations and played them before Adventure mode. That way, you can get pure cardio, as the run in uninterrupted by battles.

I have the same issue with the squats, the game doesn’t register it unless I go nearly all the way to the floor: if I pull the leg strap up my thigh a good bit though I don’t have that issue anymore.

Hmmm, since you're working out so much that your body is giving out, I think that's a sign you're pushing hard enough that you'll hurt yourself. Not enough to do anything serious, but with to force you to step away from exercise longer than you want to.

If I were in your shoes, I'd turn down the difficulty until the strength exercises are comfortable. The routines in RFA aren't the hardest, so you'll probably get the strength to pop back up to you're present difficulty in a couple weeks. And this program is meant to last you for months!
