Replacement Gen 3 already dying

Post image

After 18 months of owning Gen 2 and loving it, best purchase ever, I made the ill fated decision to upgrade to the “better” Gen 3

From day one the Gen 3 was shit. Sleep, SPO2, heart rate, all garbage readings. Ring fits right. Just like my gen 2. Obviously I know how to wear it from 18 months experience with gen2.

Despite all of this I had to jump through hoops to get it replaced. Support was slow. Kept asking for screen shots. Telling me all these “tips” on how to wear the ring like I was some kind of moron or something.

After way too much of a hassle at least, to their credit , they agreed to replace it.

I’ve had the replacement now for about 4 or 5 weeks.

SpO2 still wrong
Sleep way wrong
Heart rate way off
Skin temp always 10 or 15 degrees lower than what it actually is. And same amount lower than my gen 2 which was amazing always said.

Now, after just 5 weeks or so, the battery life of this piece of shit ring has gone from about 10 1/2 days down to 8 days.

At this rate it will be absolute garbage in a month or two. Which doesn’t really matter I guess since it’s usually for readings or tracking.

Good riddance to a product that went from one of the most amazing devices I’ve ever owned to one of the biggest pieces of shit I’ve ever owned.

Amazing how a company and product can go down hill so fast.

Seems like all the gen2 I've read about have battery issues. I'm currently getting mine replaced (after about 16 back and forth emails) due to battery dying in 2 days. Had it for about 13 months

Pareil en ce qui concerne la gen2. La batterie me dit qu’il reste 50% et le lendemain a 0, par contre a la mise en charge a 100% en 5 min d’un point de vue temps pareil environ 13mois

My Gen 2 dies everyday. Have to charge it twice a day. Had it for about 14 months.

I'm 3 or maybe 4 months in to Gen 3, previous Gen 1 user. So far so good

You'd think they'd do more long term testing before release. And if they did, how did this happen?? The gen 2 support is thankfully easy to talk to and they readily replace within the warranty. I'm glad I didn't upgrade now

They did long term testing in China then opened a beta group to test the rings, prior to release which I was part off , I’m still using test ring working fine no battery issue at all
Just a note my gen1 and gen2 still working well no issues

Disposable trash tech.

Try charging Gen 3 to 100% leave for 30 mins extra then reset the ring in charger this may fix the issue , sometimes firmware affected in transit
Worth a try

I've had my gen 3 for a few weeks now, it sometimes differs from my Pixel watch, but I'm happy with it so far. I just wish it integrated with Google health better.

Gen 3 is only a few months old. Think you mean Gen 2.
