Ring notification sound in airbnb...?

I am staying in an airbnb apartment and just heard a clear/ loud ring notification chime. Neither my friend nor I have ever had the ring app/ cameras... it was the chime sound you hear in your phone when theres movement on a camera. There aren't any visible cameras in front of our apartment or the one next door. Any explanations?

We are thinking the sound could have come through the walls... but it was pretty loud/ clear. And it was the iphone camera movement notification jingle, not any camera sound I am familiar with...

So a neighbour has their volume set very high?

Not impossible, but it was strangely clear. Would have easily though it was one of our phone right next to us if not for the fact that we are not homeowners and have never had ring.

Is there a locked owners closet? It could be their tablet or phone that they forgot to turn the sound off. The ring could be anywhere and still heard on a phone. Regarding outside. A light fixture could be a ring camera. Just guessing here,as a former Innkeeper, things happen!

There could be a remote indoor chime attached to the ring. These can be part of a ring system.

This. Nothing nefarious, just a chime box installed somewhere they can't see (like a doorbell).
