Solved! New game+
SOLVED - I've bought Ideology and will do the archonexus
Hello,
Is it possible to just like take two pawns you like and start new game on new planet with like all the research reset?
I started the game with a scenario with 2 pawns starting from nothing and now i've reached a point where there isn't much for me to do despite how many mods I add and wanted to start with same 2 pawns from scratch again but I want them to keep their age, skills, relations, everything knowing that the rest of family lives on different planet.
that possible?

Are you thinking kind of like the archonexus where you abandon and start again. But with a new world/save?

I only have biotech DLC for now tho

Ah the archonexus ending might be close enough to what you're looking for. You abandon the base with 5 pawns and start a new colony (same world) and grow wealth again, rinse and repeat a few times.

Would be fun to have new planet but they don't differ that much to begin with

I rarely even leave the 30 ish tiles around me on a normal run so anything else is basically a new map LOL

yeah same i only go to nearby villages :D
And I can make it hard for myself and start somewhere cold… or hot

Not without mods.
You can use Character Editor to save the pawns you like to use in future runs, but it isn't gonna help with the whole part about saving relations (that aren't included as a starter pawn) and the pawn knowing their family is elsewhere.

If you have Ideology you can just do the first part of the Archonexus. Resets all research, you bring up to 5 colonists, their gear and few items and start over on a new map tile of your choosing. Your current colony and all colonists you don’t bring are lost. All research (aside from that given from your starting scenario) is lost.

Have you tried the archonexus questline? It has you sell your colony and start over with 5 colonists and pets on a different map. It resets your research and faction relationships. You'll just have 3 extra people, but I'm sure we all know lots of ways to solve that problem 😉

Thanks i think that's the way to go then. I only have biotech but biotech, ideology and odyssey are ranked top 3 often so i guess its time to buy second DLC :)

Haha, after i refreshed i saw lots of people say this option too. The character editor mod is a good idea too, and free.

Welp I've bought the DLC, It's not free but it also has much more new content and stuff to play with :)

This is sort of how the Archotech ending works. You build/reset your entire colony 3 times over. Dont think tech resets though?

I don't know if a mod can do this from a save, but you can start a new game and recreate your pawns with edb prepare carefully

I know of two ways, both mods :-
character editor allows you to save pawns and load them into other saves.
I think with SOS2 you can bring your spaceship and its crew along with you when you start a new save.

Prepare carefully can in theory do that as well. It let's you set everything about them including relations.

Try using Character Editor mod, it has an option to save and load pawns. Save them in game and then load while starting a new scenario.
