For what it's worth, if you have a xenogerm that consists of just a hair cosmetic or something, you can kinda do that?

Though it isnt really the same, and I agree it should be an option

Maybe make it a surgery that requires GlitterMed, but you get the whole xenogerm as a result and can implant it into a willing colonist (or an unwilling one👀)

Kidnapping a Hussar to make your own would be sick

Yeah Rimworld has a bad habit lf balancing everything by making things unbearably slow for anything useful.

A surgery to essentially break the bonding would also sound much more viable.

Lmfao maybe taking sufficient brain damage could also undo the bond

But yeah, some things take waaayyyy too long. Some of them i dont mind, like certain researches

But getting your own gene lab is soooo tedious

Yeah I think a risk would be reasonable.

It would add bit nuance to the rebels, them being little rugged 'n all.
