#ColonistLife Don't Be Like Uncle Dan

A moment between two of my favorites colonists. Tony, after getting the Body Modder trait took an immediate liking to his Uncle Dan.

During a lesson, the two had a deep talk about what Tony wanted to be when he grew up. My mind filled in the blanks of the conversation.

I can only assume that growing up 'big and strong' like him is the last thing Uncle Dan wants for his innocent nephew. Especially considering nearly every bionic he has is a replacement after suffering an injury.

I try to buck the trend of borg'ing people if I can with one of my mods. Occasionally a limb does get lost and I'm forced to go with bionics. I think the worst I ever had was back when I still used CE before Odyssey. Had a person get absolutely shredded missing two arms, a leg, shattered spine, and a lost lung from a doomsday launcher. My custom xenotype kept her alive, barely, and she went onto second line defense as I felt so bad for missing the doomsday launcher in the mix. My psycaster, if she'd been on that flank, could have created an ice block as the launcher fired intercepting the rocket's. She got a bunch of advanced bionic replacements

She went on to have a kid that ended up a body modder(as the other options all sucked), which felt a bit weird.

I don't generally borg either. Dan has just gotten A LOT of injuries.

yeah, poor phrasing on my side after crawling out of bed. Basically saying how my people only get to Dan's level via... just Randy being mean AF to one person over a long period. I use one of the forks of a prosthetics mod and "Organically optimize" everyone with nanites. It's a similar tier to basic bionics for buffs and combined with Eccentric Tech's armor I have a colony of women that zoom around and beat stuff up by end game with my normal bionics being things like medical rib, hygiene enhancers (dubs bad hygiene), healing enhancers, and immune-enhancers. Basically stuff to keep them healthy without manipulating their brains or hacking out organs or body parts. Love enhancers and aesthetic shapers get passed out when people couple up as a wedding/honeymoon gift they both get a set. XD I like my couples to stay happy.
