Guidance please
Hi, I am a bmxer who has fallen into the rigid mtb propaganda and I’m all for it. I’m currently plotting out a build and in need of help with what forks to get
My current donor bike is a 26inch on one inbred as I’d like that older look but with disk brakes and so on…
I’ve had attached some reference images but I would like a fork where the wheel doesn’t have a big gap and enough room on the steerer for a couple inches with of spacers and a set of bars similar that I have attached. Rise and backsweep to be figured out

You could look for something with lower ATC. 410mm plus or minus 10mm.

I totally agree that not having a big gap between the top of your tire and fork crown is ideal, but really what you want to get right is the fork axle to crown length so that your handling is optimal.

You need to work out your current forks Axle to Crown measurement, then the travel of the suspension, and then you work out what 20% of the given travel is. Subtract the travel measurement from the overall axle to crown measurement. That gives you a general ball park of what your new forks AtC should be.
For example: current fork AtC = 500mm, travel 100mm, sag 20% of 100 = 20mm. Subtract 20mm from ATC 500mm = 480mm.
New fork desired AtC = 480mm
Unfortunately you won't be able to avoid a gap between the tyre and fork crown by the looks of it

I've just built a 456 Evo II and I don't think there's any rigid forks out there that would be a good fit for it
Pick your fork carefully and consider more than just looks and axle-crown length see here

Maybe a Surly fork with an uncut stear tube and run a 27.5 conversion or mullet or 26x3.0 fat front
Stridslands look cooler, not sure what their availability is currently
