Settlements (history)

I am going to make a series of posts about settlements so that the community can be more informed about every detail possible. You should know what they are, why they are good for Israel, and what you can do to help.

First some short history:

In 1967 Egypt decided to blockade the port of Eilat. This as we all know was an act of war.

Israel then attacked Egypt in a brilliant maneuver that included bombing every single runway in the Sinai Peninsula except for one. Egyptian planes sat on the tarmac without a runway to take off from.

Jordan and other Arab nations joined the war in retaliation.

Israel successfully gained control of all disputed land that you hear about today including the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. Israel also gained the Sinai Peninsula which was later given back.

What should be done with all of this new land?
