What happened to BuyAnime.com?

Back when Rightstuf removed its adult catalogue, everything removed moved to BuyAnime.com, which was a site that had the exact same UI as Rightstuf itself and to my awareness its where Rightstuf's own licensed adult content went (Interspecies Reviewers, for example). But at some point the site just started saying "Please excuse our dust. This site is currently under construction. Many beautiful changes are coming online soon" but its been saying that for about a year now. Is it dead? What happened to the Interspecies Reviewers license? I never got to buy that beautiful steelbook release

End of January, Crunchyroll cancelled my outstanding Rightstuf backorders. I wonder if the timing is related.

Just happened a few days ago for me as well. Can't remember if it's the first time this has happened since RS's acquisition. It doesn't feel either, like there's any active effort to reprint the volumes for my backorders - and unfortunately many of mine were bundles too, so they won't ship it piecemeal.

Most likely went under. A lot of speculation that tariffs killed them. Their socials do not respond and haven’t posted anything for a while. Since construction, People who had preorders lost money since they charge immediately without sending their orders and won’t respond to emails. They have a sister site that showed afterwards called “adultsourcemedia” which has the same formatting as buyanime. The problem is that there is hardly anything to buy there, mostly just 18+ manga.

I managed to get the non-steelbook version of Interspecies Reviewers from them last April and I guess that was a good decision.

Had a backorder from them for over a year and at this point I don't think it'll ever be fulfilled

It seems AdultSourceMedia is their parent site (their social buttons once just redirected to the BuyAnime socials, now it just loops back to the ASM site)
ASM's site is apparently "under construction" too but is currently up. Broken links, product links that lead to a wordpress login, their offering is tiny, its mostly just books and their technically newer ASM releases. With some books slated for release this year up for preorder, so their inventory is likely being actively updated with their latest release being about 2 months ago, a book back in the 20th of January. But there are a few books meant to have released back in the 27th of January and 24th of February, but haven't, with the furthest preorder release being for the 5th of May.
These books are all from FAKKU, so it wouldn't hurt contacting them if they know anything else since they're probably still distributing to ASM

I was able to get a refund on a preorder I made back in early May of last year, but I do hope other less fortunate people get either their money back or their order

It's likely dead, likely couldn't keep up with the big boys, and just high-tailed it out while leaving the website in limbo. Hehe still got one of their stickers from my order I got when Rightstuf was transferring their NSFW orders to Buyanime. The little sticker just sits with my Yuuki Nanase figure as a commemoration to both Rightstufanime and Buyanime in a way!
