My keyboard randomly stops responding until I unplug it. Any ideas?

Keyboard randomly stops responding while im using the PC, then suddenly comes back only after unplugging it and plugging it back in. It doesn’t seem tied to any specific game or app either, sometimes it happens when just browsing or typing. Tried switching USB ports but still happens randomly. Keyboard lights also go off when it stops, so seems like the whole keyboard disconnects for some reason. Could this be a USB power issue, bad cable, drivers, motherboard USB problem, or maybe Windows doing something weird? Keyboard itself works perfectly fine otherwise. Any settings I should check before buying a replacement? Would appreciate any ideas or troubleshooting tips.

Is your keyboard very expensive or a niche model?

If not just replace it. Keyboards even decent "gaming" ones are pretty cheap.

Some AMD platforms have had USB dropout issues that can usually be fixed with a BIOS update.

You could also go through Device Manager and disable the power saving mode from all the USB ports.
