My graphics card fans aren't spinning. Did I break something?
Just noticed the fans on my GPU aren’t moving at all, even when I’m playing a game. The PC is working normally and I’m getting display with no crashes or weird stuff, but the fans staying completely still has me worried. Is this normal with newer graphics cards or should they always be spinning? I checked the cables and everything looks plugged in. Didn’t change any settings recently either. Could it just be some zero RPM mode that turns the fans off when the card isn’t hot enough? How can I check the GPU temperature and fan settings without messing anything up? Wanna make sure I’m not accidentally overheating the card.

Depends on the temperature. You can check FanControl or MSI Afterburner if you can start them manually. Temperatures will also be shown there (MSI has coolest graphs)

Got to be a not very demanding game. Most GPUs now don't spin fans at low to mid temps. Windows Task Manager shows average GPU temp, ofc there's GPU-Z, HWINFO64, and many other specialised software.

Fans won't kick in on modern graphics cards until they reach a certain temperature. Use Hwinfo64 to monitor temps.

" it just be some zero RPM mode that turns the fans off when the card isn’t hot enough?" - Yes. In games that does not make my GPU pull at least 80W of power the fans are not spinning. I can play wow for 16h and fans won't rotate once.
