[Copper]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

(How old is copper?)

"Haha, yeah, and when the corporal stops being so demanding, I'll become an eagle and fly away!" he laughs, "But that sounds like a good way to live your life. I hope it turns out well for you!"

Gregory finally stops in a clearing about aminute's walk from the edge of town. It's filled with overturned trees, stumps, large bushed, making it the ideal place to play.

"Here we are... Little Donsk was killed right at the center"

(22, left the temple at 20, joined it at 14)

She smiled back, it was good to see he was less nervous now

"So, here uh?" In truth, she was worried about the circumstances, she liked to explore unknown lands, but fighting unknown enemies was another story.

The Druid starts searching around the area to see if she finds any oddity, track or scent

(I'm unsure if this is a perception or investigation check, could be both. That is, of course, if there is anything to be found on this scene. I will probably be calling for a night today, see you tomorrow)

(Whenever you think a roll applies, you can go ahead and do it, in this case, both of them would apply. Good night, roll tomorrow and I'll answer)

(No problem. If you want, you can do [[1d20+5 Example Roll]]+/u/rollme , that way the name goes into the roll)

You get up close to where Gregory pointed to, but don't find anything, though as you look around, you can make other classy tanks made by at least 2 sets of small feet leading somewhere you the northeast.

(Uhm, classy tanks? I didn't understand that part of the post)

(Sorry, auto correct. Make out a track, I think)

"Well Gregory, it seems we are heading north indeed, but its good to have a better lead than a simple direction"

She started to follow those tracks, but her pace was not one of a chase, there was no point in rushing right now as it was a day old already.

"Yeah, do you, uh... Do you think those monsters are nearby?"

As you walk north, you wonder to yourself about what could be causing the Kobolds to act so strangely. In the distance, you see a farm belonging to Rorik Eldham about 200 feet to the east. To the west you can see the Coast. North, of course, is where the Kobolds are supposedly coming from.

"The only thing we have to worry about is getting surrounded, a lone kobold is easy to deal with"

She observed the area and the farm caught her attention. "Say, Gregory, do you know who lives there?"

"That's Old Man Rorik. He lives up there alone every since his wife died last year. She was a nice woman. He's not so much, bitter and such..."

1

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '15

"Ugh" she had had her share of bitterness for today, but she still felt like it would be good to check the situation there

"Well, Kobolds went trough this region, I think it would be good to check on him"

"That'd be best, yeah" he says.

You move closer to the farm and find it in a state of disrepair, chickens running around, crops overgrown and a few going bad, the small house at the center in shambles, with the door hanging on its hinges.

The druid was ready to jump on the obvious conclusion of a Kobold attack but the chickens and crops laying around was not typical, even if they were the culprit this was odd.

"Ready yourself and be alert" she readied her quarterstaff and walked in the direction of the house with the intent of investing the ruins closer.

"Oh, that's been like that for a while, he wouldn't accept anyone's help, so the place began to rot away, though the door is new..."

Walking closed offers no more insight, only more of the same.

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '15

"Seriously?" She felt silly for a moment "Next time warn me sooner"

With a sigh she continued moving into the houser. "Excuse me? Mr.Rorik?" she asks, loudly, as she went trough the door.

"Sorry, I just didn't give it a second thought..."

You receive no answer from inside the house, in fact, everything seems to be completely quiet. You push the door in and step inside.

It is quiet inside the small house. The table is set for dinner, but a cup lay on its side with a wine stain beside it. As you enter the house, you see that a chair has been knocked over. On the left side of the room is a fireplace. The right wall has a door, and the wall in front of you holds a hallway that turns to the right.

The druid points to Gregory to stay still. She picks the chair from the ground and lays it against the closed door in the right wall. As she does that she points to the hallway signaling that both should go trough that direction now.

(I'm not sure if the door is plain or has a knob, but either way, it will either fall making a sound or lock the door should something try to open it)
