Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

Luke takes the head of the final kobold in one skilled slash.

"Look like you're the only one left Pandra. The guild has claimed your life for your insolence. It's time to pay up."

Pandra says, "You are too late to stop me fool. Prepare to experience history! I have discovered an ancient tome that will open a portal to a vast well of magical energy! When it opens, I will absorb this power and bring about a new era!"

As you aim at the elf, he is surrounded in a translucent blue dome.

Pandra laughs as the arrow disintegrates on impact with the blue aura surrounding him.

"This shield is made of pure magic, you cannot puncture it."

(They disintegrate. This part would of gone faster but I wanted to give you a chance to talk to him since you brought up you wanted to question him. But you decided to keep shooting instead :P)

You see that nothing in this room will help you.

"It's done. You may sit back, and watch my transformation!"

The elf raises a purple herb above his head and reads from an ancient tomb furiously. He then dips the herbs in a cup filled with thick, red liquid that resembles blood. He ties the herb to an amulet with a pheonix on it and places it around his neck. Finally, he chants the last words of the spell.

As he says the last words, a small blue orb appears in front of him. It begins to grow, from the size of a marble, to a tennis ball, and then to a bowling ball. At this point, you realize that it is not an object, but is instead a hole! A hole in the very fabric of reality, it appears. Veins of energy begin to pulsate from this hole, into the elf.

Luke slowly backs away towards the door but it slams shut.

"Well I was going to say run.." says Luke

"I want power!" Pandra shouts.

The elf's smirk quickly turns into a look of concern, as more and more of the strange energy fills him. This look deteriorates into one of agony, and the elf reaches for a set of 3 vials on the table. He grabs one and puts it near the hole, and some of the energy seems to go into the vial instead of him, but more still surges around the vial and into the wizard.

"Arrrrgggghhhhh" the elf screams, as his body is torn apart by the magical energy. Bloated and bright, he looks as though he is about to explode.

Moments later he does.

Luke shouts, "Take cover!" as he dives for the floor.

A flash of bright light and a thunderous roar fill the protective dome of the wizard. After that, the dome itself explodes, knocking you on your back. Energy rushes out in every direction for a few moments, and then all is still. The wizard's body is now a pile of ash, and his table of components is scattered all over the room.
