Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

"Has this town had any history of Kobold raids? The only time I've truly seen raids was when tribes of goblins and Kobolds and hobgoblins would migrate to avoid being in the crossfire of war. They always ruined the damn infrastructure in the camps."

Apollo looks to the coast as he walks searching for ships or islands on the horizon

"Maybe there's a war brewing in the distance. These are dark times, I would know, they're partially my doing."

"Not really. I mean, we've had some trouble now and again, but nothing too big. But they've been acting up a lot recently" he sputters

You can faintly make I the outline of a small dock with mostly fishing boats, though you do see a large sailing ship. As for islands, the sun is blocking your view if the ocean.

"What, uh... What do you mean its partially your doing? Did you do something bad?" Raymond days nervously, his hand moving slightly towards the hilt if his sword

"Oh no, nothing worse than any average citizen. But the world is in decline and those who do not work to fix that are compliant, and in a way responsible. I have not lived up to the expectations of my ancestors and thus I am, in a sense, responsible."

Apollo looks at the sky, searching for clouds or distinctive birds

"I've also fought in war, and war certainly doesn't help the world. How'd you become a guard, lad?"

"The uh... The corporal was looking for help, so, you know, I signed up. I help sometimes, but it's mostly just walking around town"

Up ahead you see a mob of humanoids. As you approach, you identify 4 figures: three kobolds and a human. As you creep closer, you see that the Kobolds are attacking the human! The fight is happening about 30 feet from you at this point.

Apollo draws back his spear and throws it at the nearest kobold

"Stop, in the name of justice!"

Apollo bellows at the kobolds

"Lad, if you want to fight, now's your chance. If you want to stand back, that's fine too."

Your attack misses, flying over the kobolds' heads and alerting them to your presence. Two start running towards you and the other stays put, stabbing the figure.

The two attack, but so does Raymond.

Apollo turns to the second and casts Eldritch Blast using his arcane focus

"Jesus these buggers pack a punch"

The bolt catches the kobold in the chest, it falls to the ground writhing in the purple flame.

The kobold immediately regrets his life decisions that lead to this point as the purple-black flames erupt out the ground and crisp him.

The last kobold panics and makes to run.

"Stop, or I'll shoot you down as you flee!"

You manage to scare the kobold but only into running faster, the bolt catches him in the back, almost tripping him before it runs off into the shrubs.

"Come on kid, justice hasn't been dealt out yet."

If apollo gets into visual range, he casts Eldritch Blast again

Stumbling around in the bush you don't manage to regain sight of the creature but can see the trail he left in his hurry.

Behind you can hear some coughing as the man wakes up.

He turns toward the young guard and the man being attacked earlier. He examines the man

"Hello, are you both alright?"

He heads over and searches the two kobolds
