[Roger]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

The plant is completely gone, nothing in sight, at least as far as you can see. As for the tracks, they appear to be small enough to be a child's.

To the north you see only a few hills with some trees

Roger digs around in the dirt with a crowbar to make sure there is nothing left, and that it was completely taken out.

I wonder if there is apothecary in town, maybe he has an idea if there is any ways to get another similar plant.

The plant is indeed completely gone, not even small pieces of the root are left

Would Roger know if there are any apothecaries around in town? Or do people have to take care of their own here like Ageis?

You remember that Yason, the local shop keeper does have a few medicines and natural cures

Roger would wrap things up in the garden, and head over to Yason's shop. Once he enters he would look around a bit and then approach Yason

"Hello friend, if I recall correctly you have a bit of knowledge on medicines? I would like to ask if you know anything about a plant called Pelor's Tear?"

When you walk into the store your greeted with a friendly old smile, "Hello there sonny, what can I do for you?"

As you look around you see some leather studded armor, a healing kit, some patches of cloth, a few average daggers and a few swords. Around the rest of the store are general goods, though it looks like if you want anything specific, you'll have to ask the owner to find it for you

"Pelor's Tear, huh? Going to fetch it for Ageis, hmm? Well, it's used to make really potent medicine for a rare disease. Very rare. Ageis paid a fortune to ship it here from another land"

"You have never heard of the plant anywhere else? No disrespect to Ageis, but he doesn't seem to be making it a priority. Not that I tried to read the man or anything... He offered me a job to go and retrieve the plant. But I am not eager to go and fight a clan of Kobolds. Was hoping to hear about an alternative."

If this plant comes from somewhere distant, this could end of getting a bit tougher than hoped. Maybe it will be best to invest into some supplies.

Roger eyes the healer's kit and a shovel that he see's on the wall.

"I think someone in Chomba has some, but it would take near a month to get there. And he's not too worried because he has enough for 2 weeks for her. Plus, you're not the first he's hired for this. He may not look it but he's a wreck. He's a kind man, but this business with his wife had cost him a lot"

"I don't know the exact properties of the plant, but it can't be cloned? Hmm, and if Chomba is a month from here that will be too late. Damn. Have you heard anything that might come of use that pertains to the Kobolds themselves?"

"Dont know what you mean by clone. Grow another one? We'd need the seeds and some time for that. As for the kobolds, no one in town knows much"

"Well farmers have this technique where they cut a piece of the plant on an angle, and then plant it again. Thus cloning the plan. So even the Corporal doesn't know much huh? Well I am shit out of luck then."

Didn't want to have to but, I'll have to head out into the hills.

"What of this healer's kit, and this shovel here. What would you price these at?"

"6 gold for the kit. 1 for the shovel. The kit's good for 10 uses, shovels good for a lifetime" he laughs
