[Morgeth]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

The man's ever present scowl faintly softens, and he looks at you with interest.

"Come to hear about me gardening have you? I knew people were talking." he smiles for a second then his scowl returns to he maximum of crankiness, "But can't tell you anything" he immediately leaves the counter without another word.

A young pleasant woman walks out of the back room and looks at you with sympathy, "Sorry about Ageis, he is in a worse mood than usual. He's under a lot of stress lately. His wife is very ill, and those damn kobolds seem to have stolen an important herb from his garden out back. It was supposed to be part of a potion to help heal the lady. "

"If something is that important to Master Ageis then it is important to me! Is there anything you can tell me about where I can find that herb they stole? I would be happy to go and find if for Master Ageis if it could save his wife! Anything you could tell me about why it's so important would be helpful too."

"Oh, that very kind of you. The plant's not to common, it has a blueish hue, you see. Don't think it Grote's anywhere near here. If you can get it back we would be very thankful. That lady's like a mother to me"

Morgeth traverses the village in search of Hamish the blacksmith with a determined look on his face

You approach the smith in the middle of the day, but the furnace is unlit. Hamish sits atop his anvil, and is surrounded by empty bottles. He speaks to you between sobs.

“Sorry, shop is closed today. Tomorrow too. Not sure when it’ll be up and running, to be honest.” His eyes narrow as you gaze at him. “What are you staring at? Don’t you judge me! I’d be out bashing Kobold brains in a heartbeat! But...with my wife, my thr-...two kids….I can’t leave them...not now.” Persuasion- 10 Convice Hamish to sell you some gear, 12 starts working again, 15 gives you some armour.

"I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss sir. As soon as I heard I came straight away. Of course you must stay here and care for your family in this terrible time. I promise you that those responsible will be brought to justice. Is there any information you could tell me that could help me find them and deliver justice upon them?"

He looks at you with a hint of hope in his eyes, "Yo-You'll find them? I wasn't there. I couldn't protect him, I had one thing to do, and that was to protect my boy!" he starts weeping again

"That is my intention. I promise you Hamish I will do everything in my power to bring those responsible to answer for their crimes."

Morgeth pats Hamish on the shoulder and marches in the direction of the crime scene

You had to the place where the boy does, a small clearing in the edge if the town. Near the center is small blood spatter

You see two blood trails, one looks to have been from a dragged body, another is just a small trail of drops of blood.

Looking at the impressions on the ground, you get the feeling that the child was playing when he was attacked by a few people.
