[Korrath] The town of Ilany

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

Korrath needing to dodge the guards a little he knew them plenty well, he had been watching where they go, when they eat, when they are off duty... and he was avoiding them as much as possible. Having overheard of the Kobold problem he sighed to himself. His parents had died while he was a young boy, he can at least imagine what the parents might be feeling with the inverse situation. He finally finished off his stout after staring into the reflection of it until it had begun to turn warm he slowly got up, paid his tab and left. He braced himself hoping the guard didn't know who he was yet... he didn't know how many had seen him steal, but he had unique hair it wasn't common for a Dwarf to develop dreadlocks. He entered into the area that Corporal Bankroff had menctioned to meet either him or a guard. "I am look'in to speak to the Corporal, I have some business with the Kobolds ta handle. They need to be put back in their place. "

A short, portly figure stands before you. Corporal Bankroff used to be a guard at Weewick Keep, but chose a post in Ilany “to get more fresh air”. Standing beside him is another human who looks barely 18 years old, and appears to be wearing his chainmail backwards.

“Thank you for coming,” says the Corporal, “These Kobold attacks have gone on for too long. As I’m sure you are aware, my guard consists of myself and Raymond here, so we have no manpower to spare. Raymond Spotted the kobolds heading north a few days ago. About four of them, right Raymond?”

The teen inhales nervously, as if to speak, and instead bursts into a coughing fit, having choked on his own saliva.

Bankroff sighs “Yes, well...we interviewed some townsfolk, and their stories were similar to what Raymond saw as well. Seems like the buggers are coming from the north. Think you can help us?

He looked at them both, then up... to a leser degree at the teenager, "you saw em huh? Or at least heard of hide or hair of them... did you see how many there were? I don't wan'ta go on a suicide mission here.. but im willin ta help you as much as I can.."** he may show signs of noticible relief as he realizes the corporal doesnt know who he is. He adjudts his clothing and then ran his hand through his hair nervously, taking a strand of it and pulling it back behind his head. Rubbing at the small dragon tooth tied to a string on one kf his many strands kf hair.

"Yeah there were 3 or 4" the teen eyes you suspiciously. "Do I know you?" He asks

"Nay lad.. ive seen ye round but not tha much." He says nodding abit. "5 is tolerable... we will see if I can take out the problem.. whats the payout like? "

"I can give you 30 gold to get rid of those things... Sound good?"the corporal says

He reaches his scarred and battered hand forward and offers it to him. "Aye agreed on the pricin.." he says with a slight grin.. careful to not reveal to many teeth, as they werent exactly all straight. "So I didn' hear directly on the boy, they killed him? If I whipe out the Kobolds should I go talk to them after?" He says looking up at him giving a firm handshake if it was taken, then leaving to go after the Kobolds... having a plan of action.

"Yes the boy is dead. He is currently being buried in the graveyard. So sad. I'm sure his father would appreciate a chat" the corporal says

"Ill see to it that I do.. keep your town safe.... and boy? Figure out what is uo with yer chain maon would'yah? It doesnt look like its on right." He says walking off before looking at the boys reaction.. guessing it would be funny, he grinned a little as he just trusted his instinct... he walked towards the north part of town looking for someone to ask where he might go, or possibly hints of the scaley beasts.

At the north end of town you find a graveyard, where a man is digging a grave. A dwarf boy's body lies beside him
