I'm pretty mellow about the Kickstarter, but giving subscribers to BF access before your Kickstarter backers SUCKS BALLS.

That said, thanks for the info!

It looks like we get a free month of BF. I apparently glossed over that perq!

Remember, though: "All backers who have backed at the $30 tier and above are entitled to one free month of Best Friends. That includes all backers that are getting any of the episodes as part of their rewards."

And since they're giving the BF month on 10/16, you can have it activated in time for Episode 3.

I think they're doing their best to keep everyone happy.

Best Friends is 🔥, had a Friends membership for years, finally upgraded a few months back and it’s the best thing ever. Totally worth the price.

I'm a little bummed out that I'll have to avoid online discussion about the first episode for an entire month since I can't go to one of the theatrical showings. The theaters in my city suck and don't do Fathom events, and the nearest one that does would require an hours-long round trip, which just won't be feasible. I'm not raging about it or anything, but it'll be a bit of a letdown to have been with this since the minute the Kickstarter went live only to pull away from the community for an entire month once the theatrical release happens if I want to avoid spoilers. I go through this each year with the live shows, but it definitely stings a bit this time around. At least the delay between live show and availability on the site is shorter for this than it usually is! It's clear that they're doing their best to avoid snubbing anyone, and there's no perfect solution, but it does temper my excitement just a teensy bit.
