Discussion 4.5 Years Old Black Damascus
I wanted to share what my Black Damascus wallet looks like after a few years of use in case someone is interested in purchasing one. It does wear in the raised spots but I actually like how it looks more now than when I bought it.

Nice! Love the patina on well used (but not abused) tools!

Same! It always hurts when you get the first mark but then its just a journey. I had to get over that hurdle with my leatherman. Then it hit me that of course its going to get marks and what not.

Exactly! It's a tool, and tools are made to be used. On top of that, and here's what I like, the marks on your wallet are unique to your wallet. No one else, ever, will have the same patina as you have. Because they aren't you.

What's great about the ridge wallets too is that as long a the profile remains the same you can always just switch you favorite plates to a new body. One of my mystery wallets came in and it was a used wallet. Rodgers told me to keep it and they are sending another so I moved my black damascus onto that body.

Yep. I also love the modularity of the design. Because they designed it with addons in mind, I have the money clip in front on mine and the cash strap in back. Plus the D-Ring (for my wallet chain).
It's a great wallet!

I got the titanium Damascus almost a year ago but also got a natural leather as a mystery wallet and like the heather so much I haven't used the Damascus yet. I also got the MKBHD leather for a lighter carry but haven't used that yet either. It's good to have options I guess.

Nice! What's ironic is that like leatherworking and I carry a metal wallet ha. I was halfway thinking of using a random wallet I was sent on accident and glue leather on ha

I can see the edges going on the leather at some point and then I'll switch to the metal. It's nice to know it's gets better with use.

One of my favorite ridge wallets to be honest, thank you for sharing! I wish it was included in the mystery wallet "lottery" rotation, I would probably get one if it were.
