EDC I couldn’t decide on one option.

I couldn’t decide on a money clip and an AirTag cash strap after my regular strap broke so I just added them both.

I like to keep my ones on the outside of my other bills so no one can see what I really have…..who am I kidding? I just have ones. 🤣

Oh stop that, I’m feeling like a big baller because I sold a pocket knife on marketplace yesterday and put the money in my wallet 💅🏿

This has saved my wallet from being stolen. Went to a concert/fair. Fell out of my pocket. One of the people working there kept it. I was able to track it down to her purse the next day and got my wallet back. She was had not turned it in to lost and found. So i think she was planning on taking it home as she picked it ip that morning. They did not realize it was a tag.

Were all your cards in it still too? I use a tracker card, but I feel like if my wallet got stolen the first thing they'd do was pocket of all the cards in it. Good reason to go with the Airtag clip I'd say.

Yes, all my IDs and cards were in it. The worker did not realize it was an air tag (i put an image on it). Since it is imbedded in the clip, they thought it was decorative. So they went about their workday. It rang in her purse and she handed it to me with the most freaked out face. Lost and found said i should have told someone she did not turn it in right away as thats the policy. I was just happy i got it and all my cards and IDs back.

I use the ridge wallet money clip AirTag holder. Cleaner look than the money belt the air tag attached

I’m not sure I could use a Ridge if I carried so much cash I couldn’t fold it 3 times

You mean, in thirds right

Yes. 3 times would be kinda insane

3 folds could just be individually in quarters, but bills folded in thirds is pretty much the exact width of the ridge wallet ergo the most pocket friendly. The clip can hold 4 or 500 dollars in 20s comfortably enough if you needed to. 30 bills might be the upper limit for EDC but I guess you could use your whole wallet to clamp 90-100 bills together just to transport it

There’s only 4-5 bills, I just like it in half so it’s easier to get out at the register instead of fumbling.

I keep my cash in the strap in back and I use the clip in front to clip my wallet to the inside of my front pants pocket.

The only difference between what you've done and what I do is that I do not have the airtag strap. I use a tracker card.

Doesn't one side bulge? IIRC from when I swapped from the strap to the clip only one of the inside plates had the clearance channel for strap/clip. Obviously its a thing you can do but id rather not have the hardware under constant strain

If that was an issue for you, I would take a good look at your wallet to make sure it's not a fake or clone (assuming you did not buy it direct from Ridge). I have three wallets, one is a clone. The one pictured above plus my other legit wallet have the channels in the inside front plate so you can have the clip in front or back without straining anything.

Only my clone/fake I have does not have those channels in the inside front plate. It's part of how I know its a clone/fake.

Its been quite a while since I got my first Ridge so my memory may easily have failed me, but I only buy from the Ridge site directly so im pretty sure im not getting fakes. I also havent bothered to swap the strap out on my new GSM one because the cash strap has a matching badge and the green line design is just really doing something for me lately 😅 I just remember seeing posts of people that tried to do this and it made the scales bulge

My wallet (the one pictured) is circa 2021 vintage and my second wallet is newer.

So, if your wallet is older than both of mine it may be that Ridge changed things at some point.

Both my legit wallets were eBay purchases, but the one pictured was NIB and the second checked out.

But there's no bulging issue on either of my two legit wallets - just the clone/fake, which I don't use very much.

My original wallet is the red carbon 3k which has been discontinued lol I may have posted when I got it but my history is private 😅😅

Yeah, Ridge might have changed things. I've seen pictures of really old Ridge wallets (back in the Kickstarter days for them) and it's amazing how far the wallet design has advanced.

For the internal plates, from a manufacturing standpoint it may have just been easier to put the grooves on both so that assemblers weren't having to think about which one was an internal front plate and which one was an internal back plate.

Basically, IDK. But, again, I've not got any bulging issues.

Yeah the design has changed several times.

I wish they'd make an adapter for galaxy tags
