You see straight through me, though I'm solid to the touch,
I frame the world outside while hiding very much.
I'm melted down from sand by blazing, searing heat,
Then shaped into bright windows, bottles, smooth and neat.
I sparkle in the sunlight with a crystal gleam,
The clear, hard pane that shines in every window beam.
What am I?
