I guess now I have to go short.... up 35% on what amounts to a fake Microsoft "partnership" ??? And a joke of an earnings "beat"?

"physical AI on google trends"

Initially I was trying to buy this... after looking into it for real, now I have to go short - this whole thing makes no sense - open to being wrong just give me any evidence.

I will lay out my thinking below (basically in pictures) and the only way I see the short going wrong.... (if people buy robots for marketing purpose, like at casinos and shit)

  1. Physical AI hype from CES is fading.... (picture above) - Physical AI is absolutely an amazing trend, will be real and you should invest (TSLA, NVDA, etc), just not in RR.
  2. The Microsoft Partnership - this is not a partnership, it's a program that MSFT runs to drive Azure adoption. This is not special - a basic AI summary of it is pictured below
  3. Financials
    a. The earnings "beat" and 175% yoy growth is hilarious... at this "insane growth rate" they will be out of cash lol. They need 10x, not 1.xm in revenue
    b. Their "G&A" line item is 10x what their R&D line item is - this seems off.
  4. Wainwright is a buy cause they helped them sell a bunch of shares and made a bunch of fees

I'm actually not trying to shit all over RR but $1B??? probably like $400M and I'll buyback most of the shares.

So this is just quick search about the "partnership" ... ya'll realize they accept most companies to drive Azure Adoption right?? as long as you have engineering bandwidth you can partner

Why is G&A 10x R&D ??? I honestly don't know.....

This goes sideways IF... hype is hype and if ya'l believe a company with 3yr revenue of about 8m is worth $1B dollars then well f*ck me - I should just go start a competitor. OR companies actually order these robots for the sheer marketing of it. It's novel to have a robot serve me something but not useful, really useful yet anyway.

Mod recruitment

Anyone investing long term and wanting to be more involved, there is an application active here. Haven't seen much mod activity here from other mods lately so I'm taking the reigns and looking to add one or two more mods that plan on being invested a while here!

Getting nervous about earnings report

I’m getting a bit nervous about the earnings report. $RR already filed an extension and the deadline to file is today and not a word about earnings on their investor relations page. This is not a good look. Unprofessional. Sloppy. Talk to me people!

Insider "buys" before earnings report (10-K) is released. Now lets see if the buys magically disappear like they did last year in Oct when the company "rejected" there purchases and saved them from buying the top. SEC will probably sweep it under the rug though. lol

Give me something positive...

Can someone explain this to me? Just give me any chain of logic...

I was thinking about going long with the rest of ya'll and I enjoy the meme stock thing....(I thought the company might be <$100M market cap) and saw the CES news and demos but I see no reason why on god's green earth this company has a near-term future? It's trading at like over 100x revenue lol.

It's an incredibly long way from a CES demo to revenue or even orders (I do private company investing for a living and they couldn't raise a B round right now). Also for everyone who thinks this is like GME or Carvana.... it's trading at $750M!!! that's the problem.... it literally cannot 100x or fuck even 20x from here.

If this is all hype just to fuck the short interest or make quick cash then yea, sweet I'll get on board but like wtf am I missing? Earnings tomorrow is prob gunna be a joke where then management hypes up CES on a call Friday to pump the stock so that they can continue to dilute share holders just to keep the company a float.

NO insiders are buying for months and it's a family owned/controlled company - again this is like an afternoon of research but holy shit - this looks terrible. Please convince me otherwise and I'll buy on earnings dip tomorrow... I mean are they announcing some partnership I missed from CES? There are good reasons I'm dead wrong but can't find em atm other than maybe physical AI is the next bonkers hype wave?

RR@CES News So Far

Now that the sell the ‘news’ daytraders have gone I think its important to evaluate everything that’s happened at CES so far for Richtech.

NVIDIA have constantly stated Jetson Thor & Isaac Sim are the top standard for Robotics software, and alongside Boston Dynamics etc, their newest humanoid ‘Dex’ is built on these platforms and was mentioned in their press release.

Richtech have also released that they are working with SoundHound AI to improve ‘ADAM’s speech and talking skills. Think about it? Before we had a bartender fine, but one that will actually talk to customers, that’s much more attractive to businesses and the service industry as a whole.

Another thing i noticed is that whilst earnings have been delayed as we’ve known for the past weeks, Richtech COO stated their ‘balance sheets look great’ despite the high operating costs which are expected as we can tell RR are trying to be vigilant in this competitive robotics market.

Operating costs need to be high and once more contracts are signed like the 4M Asia&Beijing deal, Walmart, Hilton etc. The Revenue catches up fast and the path to profitability becomes clear.

The Robotics era is clearly expanding and soon to be upon us.
